Poor Sportmanship/Bulling

How on earth does getting teabagged in a computer game make you feel demoralized and humiliated?

Because you know that there's a REAL PERSON on the other end who is laughing and gloating at you expense. It amazes me that this needs to be explained to anybody, but apparently it does.

Now then you juvenile people who seem not to understand the harm they do...The reason you get grounded for doing it in school or at home with your familly, that you get booed/punished/fired when you do that at work or in sport...THE reason is this..it's WRONG WRONG SO WRONG.
Just type "Words Hurts" in Youtube, there is a lot of videos and commercials on the matter and it would seem that you do not get the point. Words, action, they hurt even from a computer screen. I couldn't careless if Mannimarco kills me over and over and laugh at me and all, he is an AI programmed to be a d!**, but when it comes from another person, it's something else.
Not everyone can "ignore" or "get over it", not many can laugh it up either, heck I don't think this matter should be ignored. There are people out there, me included, who have never been able to build up that shield, that bulletproof vest that people tell us to build to take all the gun shots. People may go homicidal, maybe suicidal, yes it's extreme but it happens! when people can shout server wide that another person is a "Pathetic Looser that will never be as good as they(the speaker) are" (No really I am quoting someone, an actual player who said that) without facing repercussion, something is wrong.

Oh and don't you dare pull the "If you hate it so much, just stop" card cause NO, you are not bullying me out of a game that I like (again). I like the game, I hate the people. If people wont change then there should be a stronger punishment for them cause I swear cyberbullies are more hinderances to communities than me sucking at pvp will ever be.

I prefered making it a topic instead of going through all the Imperial city threads to make my point

It is sad that trolls are the worst enemies in the game. No, not the three-eyed hairy monsters but the 27 year olds living in their mom's basement with nothing better to do than spend 16 hours a day grinding CP and ganking VR5 players trying to PvE in Cyrodiil.

The easy solution would be to get rid of the emote that they do the Tea Bagging with, then it won't happen.

No, I don't know the emote, I just saw someone in my group doing it to a boss in Craglorn one time.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

It is just the sneak button pressed over a body. It happens, in every game now. If you want to play online, get used to being great and not dying, or getting tea-bagged/Taco dipped

Bullying is somebody telling you that if you don't leave their grind spot, they're going to locate you and call a SWAT team on you. Or track you down and gank you and your entire family for realsies.

PVP is just a bunch of waving your *** at each other for fun. I don't take any of that *** personally.

Also people use the sweep emote and also I have seen people doing the push up emote on dead bodies so it looks like they are having sex... So should they get rid of all emotes?

How about if someone is bullying/harassing you via text chat. Should they get rid of text chat?

I don't think emotes are the issue. If it bothers you and you feel like it is bullying then you should report it but in all honesty, and I may be wrong to think this but, some people just need to grow thicker skin.

If you are worried about psychological affects of bullying in a video game where you kill players (who are real people) with swords, hammers, axes, and knives..... maybe you shouldn't be playing an M rated game. Just my 2 cents. I do not advocate bullying/harassing in any way.

I never do unsportsmanlike conduct when people die (unless they are my friends IRL and we are goofing off in TeamSpeak or something). HOWEVER, it's part of the (ANY) game. Grow some thick skin and move on. I get mad sometimes when people do it to me, this one guy stayed there for a full 5 mins having his way, but doggone it just move on and don't think about it.

I'm a very well adjusted 34 year old with a career and all of my own things ... and I'll teabag you every chance I get. I'll also sweep you up and bury your body with the shovel emote. Heck, I'll also gank your spawn point if I can get through the gate. Why? Because it's funny and I enjoy doing it. If virtual nonsense like this gets to you good luck in the real world.

It's a joke. Lighten up. If you see my dead carcass on the battlefield feel free to get back at me.

I'm sorry it's affected you so negatively. :( While I cannot really relate to how you feel, and actually feel like my opponent trash talking me is actually part of the fun (within reason... RL threats, etc are crossing a line), I hope they find a way to curb it so that people like you can enjoy the game more.

I hate not being able to express my thoughs and worries in a way that people get the point...

ok life story. I was playing Smite, I liked the game, and I saw that I needed to pvp to get points to eventually get new cool looking skins for my characters. So I play for fun and then this *** I<m teamed with calls me names and tells me that i am a nuissance to the Smite community and tells me to stop playing to do Smite people a favor. He threatens me to REPORT ME for feeding the opponents that I am trying my best to beat while getting verbally abused by my teammate. given how strategic the game is, I kind of need the chat unmuted.

How about Dofus, I ask for help to level up because classes are made so that they need teamates of other classes to proper in team rpg combat, but the all mighty people call me noob and refuse to help me. Some teamates deem me so useless they kill em instead of attacking our common opponents.

Thank goodness I never touched Call of Duty or League of Legends, cause from what I heard, people are awful there.

The same attitude in Splatoon would not be acceptable and that does not even involve actual killing.

I tea-bag everyone.....Sweep them up.......Play Music......Play dead.....Dance on their bodies.....the truth is however I celebrate when I succeed because I accomplished something. I am sorry that this makes you feel bad, but you must realize you are playing a game where the point is to kill other people. When I kill you and celebrate over you dead body it is in good fun and with a laugh. If you are not mature enough to play this game then I would suggest not going to PVP or start rolling in groups to beat us players that bully you.

    Well, tough to remove that......

See, I would not even think of doing this to someone. I even said it was wrong when the guildmate did it to an NPC Boss. I guess when you get to be an old fart you stop taking fun at someone else's expense.

If you aren't mature enough to ignore immature people doing things on your screen that don't hurt anyone then you shouldn't be playing a game rated for mature players.

On the other hand, if your negative core beliefs are so overwhelming that you can't see that without taking it personally then you should probably look into cognitive behavior and thinking therapy.

And thus you've laid bare the essential problem. Respect isn't the coin of the realm in ESO. There is little or no cost for being a jerk, in fact it could be viewed as a benefit. Sure, you might lose some respect with one group but the group of jerks will like you and they're probably the "kewl kidz" with all the best gear anyways. Thus being a jerk to fit in with the other jerks, sort of a "circle of jerks" if you will, becomes a way to get ahead in the game.

Never happened to me unless I intentionally prolonged the fight, annoyed/teased my enemy, fooled him around etc. I'd rather perceive this as a form of irritation/anger expression after particularly intense fight, instead of being a "victim".

I think I'm on the teabaggers side on this one. If someone acting like a jack hole really bothers you that much, it might be time to walk away from the keyboard.

Besides, ZoS encourages this behavior with their cut throat style PvP. This isn't sportsmanlike competition, this is impotent aspiring psychopaths going wild in a world without real consequence. If ZoS would include some more appropriate emotes, like /eatheart, /peeongrave, or /beatwithownseveredarm there would be less teabagging. I still think the bosmer should have the option of using PvP corpses for provisioning (with some races providing red meat and some white meat).

The people acting like jerks in the game are the same people acting like jerks IRL. Why would you expect it to stop in a more anti-social environment where there are fewer consequences for their behavior? Just learn to have fun with it. If it's that big of a problem, roll a Khajiit. The textured toungue will have them regretting it once the adrenaline wears off.

Though it's value-added to see someone acting like a jackass over another character's corpse, and failing to see the enemy that subsequently one-shots them.
