There is a one-time questline included with the Imperial City in which you can get boxes of Tel Var Stones that cannot be looted from you. There are also daily quests that reward boxes of Tel Var stones that cannot be looted from you.
If I understand correctly the TV Stones from the quests can be looted just not the box they come in. So If You keep them in the reward box they are safe. Open the reward box and they are then lootable.
Gotta say, after I watched the presentation and their reasons for how the tel var stone system works I am much less opposed to it.
I do think the amouth of stones one loses has to be capped or atleast have a %. What could work is 50% up to a cap of 500 stones or something like that. Perhaps to make it still risky someone that has above 1000 stones just loses whatever the other person cannot loot.
But I do not think griefing should be rewarded, so perhaps there should be cooldowns on it or penalties for killing too many people too fast.

I agree with you, but I doubt PTS testing includes griefing tests, so I doubt ZOS will get feedback on it.
I was worried, but I've seen new light. Essentially, there IS a way to get Tel Var Stones safely - via the repeatable quests. Although, you can earn more/faster if you put more risk into it (PvP areas). Seems fair, I can still get them, but without the risk I will earn them at a slower rate,

WOW, this is the dumbest thing I think ZoS has ever done. They're really doing everything they can do to make players HATE each other. I've never written a "QQ" or Goodbye Cruel World post, and I'm not going to now, but this unnecessary mechanic looks like it's just going to make thousands of players MISERABLE, including me.
I'm not looking forward to IC as it has been described so far, and I'm sure as **** not paying for it.

With how many stones drop from basic creature kills you can probably get 50 in under 10 minutes. its really not that hard. So much QQ over something makes the game better and not pointless deaths, play smart and use strategy and you will ahve no problems

So what's to stop the gankers from robbing you every 10 minutes? How do you know they won't be waiting in front of the bank to get you before you can even go in?
