You're fine, so long as your subscription remains active.

In effect, you're "renting" the content.

Yes. You gain access due to being a member. Although if you stop subscription, you'll lose access.

Woot woot! The benefits man! Thanks a bunch!

I'm not paying them anymore until they provide a race change option or fix Argonians. Since neither is likely, I will be milking my now-free content. Damn The Man!

Race change option? You mean after building your character? No no no no.
Just like in their previous games, you can't do that.
It defeats the purpose of creating a character in my opinion. You make it and stick with it.

It's one of three races they will supposedly be making improvements too in the next base patch that will accompany the DLC. Khajiit and Orc are the other two from what I've heard.

I'll vote with mine and probably buy it before my character is of the level where I can use it.

Too many entitled gamers lately, wanting good content but not wanting to pay for it. You are all OLD GUARD if you are opposed to the crown store but not to a monthly sub with paid DLC. Whatever gets them their money is fine by me, especially when they are not going pay to win at all.

Your paid sub is like cable; you pay for a subscription and get whatever they feel like putting out. Sure, people will cancel if they are unhappy with the service for long enough, but there's no real guarantee that you're paying for content. They can take their time on DLC, since many people will pay subs and level their mains/alts to max. With DLC you are buying content, and they are incentivized to both regularly make content and to make high quality content that will sell well. You can essentially put out good content as fast as people can play it, and you will make more money with more content (not so with a sub, especially if you make your new content very grindy).

I personally would never have bought the game if it did not release on console, and I would never have bought it if it had a monthly sub. I have a feeling that there are a lot of people like me out there. All I see on here is doom and gloom from PC players, but honestly a lot of the complaining here is about stuff that is better for everyone in the end.

This is definitely going to be one of the top ten posts made on the official ESO forums this entire year. WELL SAID! :)

Agreed and way to bring back the memories of MUD's... dont forget MOOs and MUSHes too ;)

I'm sure the devs will be covering that in the coming days. I honestly don't remember the specifics but it sounded like they were going to buff those races in different ways.

I know that's why I'm angry. They're only buffing the Argonian potion passive, which is ridiculous. The fact that they can't recognize how inadequate of a change that is tells me that they don't understand the actual underlying problem or they don't care to fix it. It seems like they're more interested in looking like they're fixing things without actually fixing them.

It seems like that is all they are doing, but we don't have the full patch notes, so my hope is that my lizard will be buffed to be on equal footing with the others in another way as well.... Unlikely I know, but fingers crossed.

I plan on subbing now. Getting the 4.5k crowns for the next 3 months, play IC as a subscriber, unsubbing, then buy IC with crowns and then wait for the next DLC to sub again. :sunglasses:

Cheaper just to buy the crowns, i can get 3000 for roughly $20

For as long as I find a game worth playing, I'll maintain a sub. Sadly, the only thing keeping me with this game at the moment is a lack of competition with better content and less bugs with the same level of graphics....and my guild. Neither of which has anything to do with how ZoS runs their business.

100% agree. Sadly most will skip IC because it is in pvp and will just buy cosmetics which means ZOS will focus on cosmetics. Hopefully I am wrong

I certainly hope that people only buy what they are interested in, so if people don't want to pvp (which I doubt in a AVA based game), then so be it.

I am much more looking forward to the next raid DLC which hopefully only very few buy so that we can finally drop that piece of content for good and focus on housing and RP stuff.

I haven't PvP for a looooong time but i'll get IC anyway, mmo's tend to have a way of making certain items only available to ppl with the necessary content/DLC

A new mount <skin> takes, maybe, 3 developers about a week to make? Super cost efficient and sells a lot. It's not gonna stop.

I know it's not going to stop, but we need to show ZOS we want THIS content more. That's why I'm urging people, all people, to buy!

If only it would be the content I want, I´d gladly pay for it. But as IC is mostly PvP-oriented (and comes along with even VRs), I`ll pass. When they release new zones, without forced grouping, I´ll buy. When they add Dark Brotherhood and Thieves´Guild or a number of new skill lines, I`ll buy.

Yea, I know. 5500 for $40.... I'll probably do that since they're not improving eso+ at ALL.

Ok. So Imperial City is on is way. This is the kind of content we want. ACTUAL content. We need to show Zenimax that THIS is the MOST profitable way to make money with ESO. I urge everyone, sub or no sub, to buy Imperial City. If ZOS makes more on their $30 ice horse than they do on a $25 content release, guess what ZOS is going to focus more resources on?

Speak with your wallet! BUY IMPERIAL CITY!

No thanks. But pls carry on spending on my behalf, so that i can continue to play other content.

lol. How very parasitic of you.

But you're right... and your comment actually echoes exactly what I'm saying. We need people to buy IC to encourage ZOS to make more content... I will gladly do so. If you're not willing to, that's fine, hopefully there are many more with my outlook than yours.
