I mean, if you need that to make yourself feel better about it, then go for it.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vKgtvYS6YVo When did this become an Alacrity get together? lol Regarding the topic change, I regarded Alacrity as indeed one of the best pvp guilds while I would never agree anyone one guild as being "the best" simply because many guilds had primes and early on never really faced each other often enough to determine the better due to the plethora of campaigns and a much larger pvp population early on. Having seen Alacrity fight while fighting alongside them in PRX, LD, and DiE on AD I had great respect for them and when DiE's initial direction turned away from the dominant faction, AD, I looked forward to fighting them.
Having participated in easily over 50+ gvg fights against alacrity since then, I can say it never was really "fun" to fight them but they were indeed good players. They very often employed mist-forming away in great numbers and placing down meatbags constantly in even matched fights which annoyed us, yet was challenging all the same. Yet, when the period of scroll exploiting took place I lost all respect for this group of players. I've never seen a more vocal, blatant, twist of ideals than that debacle and all Alacrity members who participated will never recover my respect as I'm sure we'll see each other again in mmo pvp for decades to come, you may just not recognize me =P.
Skyforge looks alright, yet doesn't really appeal to me in any great manor. None the less best of luck to you, especially the core members who departed before the exploiting period. Also good to know, nobody indeed likes Tryp.
Some viewing pleasure while at Altadoon:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vKgtvYS6YVo
Can we start dropping tears about why No Mercy disbanded already ? I think we covered Alacrity pretty much.

You forgot about the part where the half of them got banned from forums for trolling.

forum bans were definitely the underlying issue as to why NM disbanded

Not as to why they disbanded but as to why they lost credibility just like when some of Alacrity members decided it was a good thing to use exploits to capture scrolls behind the gate to try to prove something to ZOS.

Did you really just claim people getting forum bans made people lose their credibility? Really?

This from Frozn, who I've seen leap up keeps and ***. If getting around/over obstacles is an exploit then you yourself have both exploited and associated yourself with exploiters.
And FYI, at least half the ways to get behind a gate has been fixed thanks to us, and there's plans to fix the rest. You're welcome and thank you for whining so much ZOS finally got to work on it.
Dyvith quit because he started a business, but you wouldn't know that because you haven't been close friends with him for 10 years like I have. As for the guild, you can thank L and D for that. After he stepped down, the guild ran strongly until they began to push the guild in a direction that I did not (and Dyvith would not have) agreed with. I chose to leave, and unsurprisingly the guild collapsed without me.
Sorry that nobody in this game respects you, Fake Fixate. Really though, what can you expect when you choose to steal the name of one of this game's most respected players?
Alacrity, Luvboard and Dreamstars only issue was you trip, after Dyv stepped down and passed you temporary GM, you did and accomplished zero for the guild. You countless times said you would do nothing, were not interested and wanted no responsibility (I can only assume you wanted the title but were trying to tank the guild?)
You chose to leave?
The guild Collapsed LOL?
Trip you were removed from Alacrity because of your behavior.
As for Alacrity we PvPed as always through the worsening lag and crowned many emperors
Most of us are now happily in skyforge;
Dyvith and many of Alacritys core members who left ESO have even come join us in Skyforge and play everyday wrecking PvP, all but you are playing with us because of your choices over a girl.
This is so incredibly false. You kicked me because I disagreed with you, I disagreed with accepting and training all of the horrible players Alacrity was bringing in, and I hated that Alacrity had become one of the worst guilds on the faction over the period of 2-3 months after I gave you leader.
Sorry that Alacrity fell apart Luv, but don't blame me. I bailed when I realized where you, and most importantly Dreamstar, were taking it. To say that I "chose a girl" given that one of the worst healers in the game was an officer in Alacrity by your choice is hilarious.
In my experience the best leaders are usually not the best players on a Team. That was the one thing I think Alacrity lacked more than any of the other guilds I've run with. The leadership was all full of amazing players, but they weren't excellent *leaders* that brought people together at least from what I saw.
I don't think many people would say that W'R'X is the best player in Decibel (although he is good), but he is an amazing leader and people follow him because of that. In the few times I've run with Decibel that was immediately apparent to me. Dreamstar was probably the nicest person in Alacrity that I interacted with and did more than anyone else to make me feel welcome there. A guild full of skilled Elitists with ability but no true cohesion is bound to crumble or stagnate over time as they lose players through normal attrition. I agree that the dilution of skill level is a valid concern of any top guild but there is nothing wrong with keeping a few players in a guild or even promoting them if they have other useful skills/abilities that promote the well being of the guild.
I'm far from an expert on the workings of Alacrity and I'm more of an outsider looking in on most of this but that was my whole 2 cents put together from my observations and interactions with them.
You're completely right Ezareth, and the strength of Alacrity came from the combination of incredible leaders like Casuale, Permared, Fire Shot, Hexspawn, Dyvith, etc. and incredible players like Reese Withoutherspoon, Night Mistress, and Luvboard. The cohesion within the guild was well beyond what you see in any guild today.
The problem is when we started getting specific players who polarized the guild. There were also things like exploiting or mechanical abuse which similarly polarized the guild. This was what brought the guild down, and this is why the essence of Alacrity no longer exists.
Eventually these polarizing factors diminished the guild with many of the core members leaving as a result of frustration with ZOS, frustration with the guild, and frustration with these polarizing factors. Many of these core members would come back and play if we had the original lineup back, but they are not willing to play with people who they feel do not deserve to be in Alacrity. They wish for an Alacrity which does not and can not exist anymore. I originally believed myself to be outside this group, but I no longer believe this to be the case.
Regardless of that, Alacrity no longer exists. The ideals, the people, everything that made Alacrity what it was no longer exist. This is why I say that Alacrity is dead, because the only way to say that Alacrity is alive is to believe that it is reanimated - brought back to life with no soul or essence of what it once was.
