Undaunted - Inner Fire - Taunting Multiple Enemies

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong... It is my understanding, from it's description, "Ignite the fires of hate in *an* enemy's heart...", that Inner Fire and it's morphs only aggro/taunt one enemy at a time. If this it the case then I feel this should be changed to allow aggro of multiples within it's given radius. This makes sense due to the fact that undaunted skill line is all about dungeons.

Otherwise, what is it that makes it so special other than you can have it take from the Magicka pool to conserve stamina (just saying). *Adding a battle "roar" when activated would be nice too

Well, your supposed to Taunt the Boss to keep them from attacking the DPS's and Healers. Not the trash mobs, those you just burn down with the DPS's. So if I was tanking and keeping the boss aggro on me, I would not want all adds poking their nose into the fight I am having.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

Gary Gravestink "I am glad you died, I needed the help"

They will never add an AOE taunt, they have stated that many times. Btw smart tip, only use the ranged taunt if you actually have to, its way to expensive to spam on groups of mobs.

Thanks for the responses guys. I'm new to Elders Scroll so I wasn't aware of the fact that aoe taunt had already been addressed. I'm doing fine with tanking the boss, snaring adds and doing some CC when possible. So it's not really a big deal, however I was just considering how making the undaunted taunt an AOE skill would make it more "useful?" (probably not the right word there) Lets just say, if it was an AOE skill then I wouldn't worry about weighing the pros/cons of using inner fire vs puncture.

For instance, on my DK with 1H and Shield - I'm currently using Pierce Armor, Talons, Igneous Shield, Dragon Blood, and Power Slam.

If Inner Fire was an AOE skill, I would consider using it in place of Talons because then I could use it to quickly grab mobs to let my DPS concentrate on burning them down. I think it would just add another dimension to my game play as a tank. Ah that's it... changing Inner fire an AOE skill would tanking more dynamic.

There's no such thing as an aoe taunt in this game, and there probably never will be. It's one of the things that makes tanking in ESO vastly different than in other games - you cant just grab aggro on a group of 10 enemies and meatshield them all, nor should you want to - that much damage coming at even a tank will drop you faster than your healer can keep up with.

Pick your targets. Tank the enemies that will cause the most damage to the group, and keep those occupied while your DPS deals with the rest. If you're a dragon knight or sorceror, you can aoe root a large group to keep them immobile, while your dps players use aoe damage to kill them all quickly without getting hit.

Tanks in this game were never meant to bear the entirety of the enemy's damage. Honestly, a tank in ESO is just a DPS with a little less damage output and a little more survivability / a lot more control.

    This. ^^^

I'm leveling my first tank (a VR6 sorc at the moment) and I learned the hard way that tanking in ESO is all about prioritizing targets.

Unlike some of the other games out there, our job is not to make sure everyone hits us, but that we keep the hardest-hitting enemy OFF of our group.

Generally speaking, standard mobs (including adds) are the DPS' job.
