What does paying the subscription have to do with the validity of someone's opinion? If you must know though, I paid the subscription from April 2014 (5-day early access PC launch) until May 2015 -- 13 straight months. I cancelled it primarily in protest of the system-wide banner advertisements for the Crown Store, which was the straw on the camel's back on the fact that the sub benefits offered nothing to my characters/playstyle, so I didn't want to waste money. Funny thing is though, that we both agree the price is reasonable. As I said in an earlier post in this thread:

thanks to the high pricing of things in the Crown Store (e.g. motifs, exotic mounts, xp pots, etc), the average player's first recourse for obtaining an item/mount would likely be to take advantage of in-game ways to obtain it, either from grinding or trading. This maintains a healthy player-based economy rather than gameplay that revolves around microtransactions, where players make strategic choices about what they want to buy with in-game gold and investment of time instead of using real-life money to buy everything from the Crown Store. In reference to the OP, my stance is (a) I don't care about the price because it is extremely unlikely I would ever spend RL money on the Crown Store and OP left out this option in the poll, and (b) the price of this mount and other Crown Store items being on the high side is an overall good thing for the game.

Yes

Mounts are just skins/vanity item. They do nothing, so I don't get why people can get so heated about it. Some will be able to buy it others won't. Just like IRL where some things are more expensive than others. I don't know if I would personally buy a mount for 3000 Crowns (it would definitely have to be really special!), but if someone else wants/can buy it, good for them. The limited mounts usually cost 2500 Crowns, and people will gladly buy them (myself included - have the leopard). But then again I also subscribe, so get Crowns automatically every month.

The best part is that these mounts are common as muck. Hardly a mount goes by that isn't firey, icey or...kittyey. I'm afraid you're not half the special snowflake you think you are.
