Oh great, the Tel Var stones are lootable

    My husband and I had logged out at the start of a delve in Cyro and had just logged in the other morning, I mean literally and were figuring out what we were off to do when an enemy stepped in and we killed him :/ I actually hate that there is no way to be not be pvp in the pve aspects of Cyro. You can't communicate "don't taze me bro, just gettin shards" or something.

    But it is a small price to pay to keep it condensed to one map (imo)

    There kinda is: if you go to any spot in Cyro and /dance then theres a 50% chance other players will /dance also, whether they are friend or foe :)

    Because its fun? Games are designed for mindless pvers and its nice to spoil the party for them every once in a while and force them to actually think on their feet. A pvp player dies and shrugs it off and moves on but a PVEr cries, posts for nerfs on the forums and campaigns for the removal of all player conflict in every aspect of an mmo.

    Allow me to direct you to the alliance war and PvP combat section of this forum that has hundreds of nerf and whine threads created by, you guessed it, PvP'ers.....

    Actually i bet the majority of threads are created by people who generally PvE and are upset because their builds dont work when PvPing. Thats the kind of thread im talking about. Like the people who cry about wrecking blow when its easily blocked or cloak when there are counters available to prevent it.

    Anyway, the solution is simple. Don't travel alone, and as soon as you get a stone, get rid of it, either via mail or banking.

    Already is. You can safely pve in pve zones to earn gold and buy the items obtained by Stones.

    Exploits suck. Don't blame just the game, blame the players abusing them!

    I doubt ZOS didn't think of that. It'll probably be bound or locked to prevent you from just mailing it. Otherwise what would be the point of making it lootable?

    Champion points is the problem. If you got to VR16 + max gear then the playing field is level and if you die and lose your stones, the you need to l2p. But if you dont have all day to grind champ points then you will die. Better roll a NB or SORC so you can get away. Can i get an AMEN!

    You can't "Bank" Alliance Points, what if it is like a version of that which can be lost to enemy players? >.< Ugh...

    Could be. Knowing ZOS, it will probably be something that can be griefed or exploited.

    I hope there won't be an easy way to bank or mail those stones. They would be a nice tool to make death in PvP meaningfull so people would care about staying alife and not run around like headless chicken with their glass canon builds.

    I like my idea better as it provides more options. Though you are certainly welcome to disagree.

    That depends on what the stones are actually good for. If they're just trophies, then yeah, why bother. But if they're more akin to Nirncrux, then watch your back, cause you're gonna die fast if you don't go into IC with an army.

    My understanding from the press release is they will be how you purchase the new vr16 Cyrodill sets so I expect them to be sought after. Which means I wouldn't focus on them until VR16 if you can collect some successfully at lower levels consider it a bonus.

    I think it's good to have an element of danger and such. I miss some of the really old games I played where I could loot EVERYTHING in a person's bag... Epic tier or not. :p more looting of the dead plz!

    If you respawn quick enough, your corps is gone... No one can loot it...

    Not necessarily. You do not automate (button press still required) and would safe only the click on the map. Since you can do map pings by addon, this should work as well.

    Compare to addons like multi craft or wardrobe type things. Same level of interaction. It is a way to circumvent an idiotic idea.

    Hmmm, interesting point. I can't see that being a fair way to implement it, so maybe my above "rewording" is more accurate than we thought, and you don't actually "loot" them, and are just "given" them.

    We don't know if we're actually looting corpses. The stones might be transferred automatically.

    My 18+ years of mmo play tells me, this is a bad idea Bone Armor for the win in UO, and will only make for griefing, in the end after all the griefers have ruined the fun of most players, they will only be griefing each other, and a griefer cries the loudest when they get griefed. Just like the instajib twitch streams when they get instajibbed man do they cry.

    Since this is suppose to be both a pve and a pvp area, all the effort that went to making this crafting area will see very little use, most pve crafters will not go back after they get ganked and their stones get looted, this is just not healthy for the over all game. I am not worried for myself I am just thinking of the game over all. Maybe it won't be as bad as it seems I guess we will have to wait and see.

    Looks like we will be forced to explore IC only with raids :(
    Otherwise all our stones from completing stuff will be withdrawn by more cunning and numerous "neigbours".

    Mb its just me, but I miss some solo-content. Craglorn was also for groups mostly and its not an easy task to find a group ready to wait for you while you are really listening the dialogs or simply researching the dungeon (yes, I like to explore the content). And with raids...Lol, but I still have no idea what actually is going on in SO :) had no chance to read the quest, always rushing through it with raid. Would be a sort of personal pity if gank-fest and raid-trains will rule the IC
