Explorer Edition maps

I got three map packs in in-game mail because as the explorer pack bonus. Each map pack is for a different faction; one for Ebonheart, one for Aldmari, and one for Daggerfall. I grabbed all of the packs with my main character thinking I'd stick them in my bank, but I can't. I also can't put the individual packs in my bank. Do I just need to throw away the 2 map packs that have treasure locations in the other factions' territories? Is there any way to transfer these maps or map packs to alts?

I think you can explore the other regions at the VR levels.

My biggest problem with this is that none of the chests have anything worth a fart, no matter what difficulty the lock is.

Its best to save those things until you are max level.
Make a Toon, Open all the boxes (don't check the maps) and put the maps on your bank.
Then go to your toon, take all the maps and wait till your main is max level.
Then give your main back all the maps, and go treasure hunting.

The Treasure is based on the user's level.
If a level 3 opens them it's junk. if a level VR14 opens them... its much much better junk.

As I recall, you can open those packs up and the individual maps can be transferred. It was a looong time ago for me tho.
What I did was leave them in the boxes until I was in the specific zone for the maps (you hit the other zones in vet levels anyway) then use them as I went thru the zone.

Have to say tho, I was glad when I finally got them all out of my inventory lol.

I just tossed all the maps.

For one, most of them were for areas I could not get to yet, and I needed the bag space.

The second is, I get Treasure Maps from the game all the time. Well, not frequently, but often enough. These maps are for zones I am in at the time and are applicable to my character at the time.
