VR Leveling - Higher mobs = more xp?

Hey so I hit VR1 two days ago and I'm close to VR2.
I'm a bit puzzled because I'm killing VR12 mobs in Cyrodiil without any problem.
Do they net more xp than VR1 mobs? Or will it be like 1-50 where 5 levels above cap xp and it just become harder with extra gain.
Do Cyrodiil mobs give less xp than mobs in the regular world? Haven't really found much info about this stuff.

✭✭✭✭✭Get an addon like Advanced UI or Foundry Tactical Combat and you can tell exactly what each mob gives you for Exp.
Cyrodiil Mobs are really VR5, but are now marked as VR12. Yes, higher ranked mobs give more exp, but not so much more that I would go out of my way to grind them. Then again, I am not a min maxer who has to optimize everything I do in the game. i just like to have fun.
However, questing is still the best source of Exp and leveling, and you get plenty of mobs to grind on while doing the quests.Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

It must have something to do with battle leveling. I think they gave me 95xp each.Beesting, Bosmer Magica DK, AD EU, crafter

I'm on PS4 so no add-ons sadly. Though I am a min-maxer and I am a pvp player. Grinding has been more efficient for me than quest, but I do complete POIs as they net good xp. The side quests not attached to hubs get skipped though. Doesn't seem very beneficial.
After killing two VR8-9 solo at VR1 about half an hour ago I now see that items doesn't necessarily make it or break it. It is more about skill and quality build. What I'm curious about is how to get some decent gear which will be efficient from VR1-6... I know Night's Silence is good for pvp (rogue build), but it doesn't seem that great for pve. Ashen and some other seem great for PvE, but I don't know if it will hold up in PvP. I hope someone with some experience can shed some light if it matters as much as I think it does. It matters a lot in other MMOs to have the correct setup...0 -

Try doing a bunch of quests within range of each other and see what happens. If all else fails just keep doing regular dungeons or Pledges.
