Why aren't there dungeon queues?

Why is it that a have to go to group finer to find players that are trying to do the same dungeon as me (Takes way too long) instead of me just queuing for the dungeon and being teleported into it when all players are found?

It drains the fun of the game for me. I always have a team of 3 and never a fourth. I use group finder and when i do find someone i have to spend time messaging them to meet at the dungeon and sometimes they never even show. It's time wasting. I'd like a queue system to just launch me and my two friends along with a random into the dungeon when we all select ready.

I've played some mmo's that do this and it is great. Even if i was alone i could queue up and be sent to a dungeon with others.

It feels really plain... I like dungeons but i cant always 3 man them

Missing out on alot of content because of it.

This is literally the BEST question that's EVER been asked on this forum. @ZOS gave up on the LFG tool a long time ago and decided to outsource the grouping function to unregulated, unmonitored 3rd party organizations called "guilds". No one knows why, and @ZOS refuses to talk about grouping, even though it is a central activity in an MMO.

You are not the first person to suggest a queuing system as you describe, and probably won't be the last, because so many OTHER games have successfully implemented this feature. ESO will always be tragically flawed until they can fix grouping. For the record, in over one YEAR of playing ESO, I have NEVER been able to successfully join a group using the LFG tool. NEVER.

That seriously blows. Surely it can't be that hard for them to discuss it? I've only been able to play the same 4-5 dungeons with my 2 friends because the rest are much harder and the group find never works well.

Since buying the game on release for Xbox I've done ONE dungeon using group finder. Took about an hour and actually only got one player from the finder itself. The other I picked up at the entrance by sheer luck. That dungeon was the most fun I've had in the game, and my main is lvl 40. PLEASE FIX GROUPING!!!

I joined a group with it once! But it was only because my guild was testing to see if the dang thing worked in the first place... Concensus: not worth it
This one has an eloquent and well thought out response to tha... Ooh sweetroll!

Perhaps @ZOS_GinaBruno could do some digging on this one? It is one of the few completely unanswered questions.

I'd love a functional queue system but I want at least 30 seconds before I'm teleported.

I've joined countless in the week I've played. That said, the groups have always been terrible and 8/10 run results in painful wipes on trash which should not really happen. Even at Vet level people seem a bit clueless. You are far better off finding people through forums or guild. It will make the experience far less frustrating. Healers who ninjapull every pack before any in the group is ready is a prime example of my previous LFG group Vet1 Fungal 10 minutes ago. Took me about 5 seconds to leave and go back to grinding :P

There are pros and cons of that system. Take WoW, for instance. You click a button, the group is made, you all teleport in and someone says, "fast run pl0x" before immediately pulling the first set of mobs. Everyone just AoE's down each room and the bosses die so fast they don't even have a chance to use their special attacks. The second the last mob dies everyone says, "tnx" and disappears. The whole dungeon runs takes a matter of minutes.

The dungeon crawl experience is reduced to a soul-less grind for tokens. It's hideous. At least in ESO there is a modicum of preparation and people actually talk to each other.

LOL, what you've just described sounds like a dream come true to me. I just want to "get her done" without all the chit chat and standing around.

I think this speaks more about the community than the systems in place.
