you need to surprise/gank them - if they are waiting for you/attack first it will be pretty difficult

i take them out in 2 hits with snipe (4k weapon damage, 73% crit chance)

with my magicka nb i usually take them out with a heavy/crippling grasp/soul assault. however, if the fight goes on, i usually run out of mana and have to stealth/run

try to find a cost-efficient combo that forces him into shield-restack phase a lot. don't expcet to burst them down. the easiest way is with non-dot magicka builds, imho. stamina builds are really used to their sharpend-mace exploit and many dots are useless.

one example is old-fashioned medium fire + crushing shock spam. only ball of lightning or good movement can make shield stacking feasible in that case. otherwise one should easily outsustain a stacker.

of course, stamina and many other attacks can also work. it's a lot about cost efficiency and knowing you're actually fighting a magicka pool and not the health/shield bar. finally, i think we're currently at a peak concerning champion point effectiveness for shield stackers. big chunk (60-100) in bastion + other curcial points. non-shield users defense and almost everyone's offense, however, will significantly profit into the 1000s of CP

if you're a magicka build, dont even bother with a better sorc. Just ignore.

First you have to burn down a 12-15k Annulment shield...than you have to burn down a 12-15k Hardened Ward...

Embedded somewhere in-between is Healing Ward bursting up to 25k heals, while you only do half dmg due to nirn stack.

If you magically manage to crack some shields down, the sorc wont(unlike other classes) be even remotely pressured. Instead he instantly blinks out of gap closer range for the 55th time and recasts the whole shebang.

You need to land a perfect cc as soon as the shields are gone and before he blinks, than burst all his health down in 1 sec before he breaks out. You average player isn't skilled or even built to pull it of solo. So have fun fighting a sorc for 2 hours.

Stamina builds have a better chance with mace+sharp bug and more burst. But they also die to sorcs fairly easy. Jumping them from sneak like a turd, preferably while they're on mount, typing or on siege, is my advice to assure perfect victory.

To the original poster: stam nb and Kill them with your OP burst, fear and cloak

With 750-900 stam regen you can cc break always . So dont give that talk about wasting his stam. Good sorcs mostly only use stam to cc break.

But I also use stam for blocking Meteors, dodge rolling and shuffle...

spam your stam gap closer. use a speed buff. When they are on the ground, use lethal force. extra points if you layer your burst point around cc.

This is not true, you are regenerating at half the rate CC/break-free can be applied and this means using nothing stamina related such as block, dodge roll, shuffle, etc.

It was the OP who claimed Sorc could stack to 50k shields .... and with how Hardened Ward scales, that would imply that Temp/DK could reach 42k shields or around there considering Sorc only have 8K more shields than either Temp/DK.
