There is not really a "best" place per say. Motifs can typically be found within furniture and backpacks. You rarely, if ever, find them in sacks, crates, or barrels.

That being said, you're large cities are a great place to start due to the amount of buildings and furniture. Also helps you level that ledgermen skill
