With the new changes to DW giving Major Brutality, will you STOP using 2-Hand?

In ESO Live, they mentioned they want stamina builds to have more variety, instead of being like "Oh I am a stam build, I NEED to use 2-Hand." They are aware of this so this is why they are adding Major Brutality (20% dmg increase buff) to a skill in DW.

However, I would argue that this change *will not change anything* to a majority of stam builds. Why? Because the 2-Hand ability Rally (which gives Major Brutality) is the ONLY BURST STAMINA HEAL.

Even with Vigor, which is an incredibly heal for stamina users, is a heal over time.

If 2-Hand Rally was changed so it only healed instead of giving healing and Major Brutality, people would still use it.

What do you think?

I don't need the 2-Hand healing, so I will use DW and NOT 2-Hand

with VIGOR being moved to AvA skill rank 5 and my favorite DW ability Flying Blade getting the MB bonus, I will be moving to either DW/BOW (most likely) or DW/DW.

I pretty much made a post why this new change won't turn player's away from 2H.

With the change i've tried to propose in my post, i think people would go to DW from 2H. I don't think Zos would take my thought's into consideration though.

For the record, i don't think giving hidden blade major brutality will change anything. It just give's bow user's an inconvenience because you have to use a ranged skill when you have a bar dedicated for just that.

If you were DW/DW it will work out. 2H/DW user's will still use rally.

I have no reason to vote either. Your pretty much saying will you continue to use rally or not. I personally wont use Flying Blade even after the skill recieve's Major Brutality.

In my post, i made a poll if Twin Slashes should get Major Brutality because it is the closest skill to recreate the effect's of rally. You can get a HoT or snare with Twin Slashes Morph. Which is in my mind the ideal skill to buff because it effect's a wider range of user's. DW/DW + DW/BOW maybe more.

I find it pointless to you flying blade as a Bow user

It's a spammable instant cast skill.

Your build would be like a DW/DW build. Use Relentless Force/Camo Hunter to buff and spam away.

No, but that's because I love 2h and hate dual wield in general.

I hope it encourages others to change though, leave 2handed to us proper blademasters and go back to poking things with your toothpicks.

The other point of context is that low slash after a certain amount of champion points have been spent in the ritual tree will out dps even killers blade after 25% HP is hit, which can't be overlooked. Also 2H weapons look absolutely badass and make for a good way to get the 5 piece ravager bonus as templars using puncturing sweep.

Rally + Brawler are the best defensive options for stamina DPS, especially solo play. Without them these builds are relying on healers more than their magicka counterparts. The change for DW is nice but I think many people will stay with 2H because of the earlier.

Applying the buff to Twin Slashes may be too OP for that skill due to its very low cost, it does not lower your DPS to re-apply the buff and the fact it can get additional boost from Master's weapons. Flying Blade is more expensive and may cause a slight DPS drop to use. On the other hand TS cannot be cast before combat and cannot compete with Rally's healing capabilities. So even with that it'd still be Rally and 2H.

Why would it do that? Major Brutality is a buff giving weapon power. Magicka sorcerers need spell power and use the buff Major Sorcery.

Stamina sorcerers can already get Major Brutality from Critical Surge or a potion.

Also dont think this tiny tweak will change much. Maybe help NB's and PvE templars save some Panacea of Weapon Power lol? They're the only ones that can pull of DW in the first place.

Biggest problem with DW is the lack of gap closer for all classes but NB. Lack of stamina execute in PvE, for all classes but NB. Lack of self-heal without Rally. Than there's Sorc and DK lacking a basic single target dps skill, with DW.

This poll needs more options. I don't need the heal from Rally, but I'll still use 2h.

2H is utilized for the only on demand application of Major Brutality in the game. It does not require a target, nor does it have a cooldown. It can be activated preemptively without breaking stealth to ensure your entire parse gets the full efficiency of 20% weapon damage. Not only is rally extremely powerful for min maxed DPS, but the forceful passive is a great boost in multi-target scenarios, the bonus regen on kill is a nice quality of life to have, and Follow Up can be used in niche situations for a mini empower effect. Dual wield only buffs itself with its passives, while 2 handed buffs the wielder with its passives.
The optimal setups for stamina DPS builds will forever remain in my opinion; Bow/2h, Dual wield/2h, or 2h/2h.
