I can max out ESO at 4k on a 1080p monitor using DSR on a GTX970, and still get better frame rates than consoles.

And my PC can play every single game from NES to Gamecube just fine. I still regularly play through Super Metroid, Super Mario RPG, A Link to the Past, etc.

You can prefer current consoles all you want, but in no way, shape, or form do they do anything better than a PC can.

What? Seriously? It's the PC gamers who have used mods and created indy games that you can't play on console. Not to mention the emulators. I play classic NES SNES and Genesis games on my PC all the time. Do that with a PS4. PC gaming doesn't just give you better graphics it gives you way more options. Come back when you get your facts straight.

rawr meow hiss hiss, really? you know how many indie games are on PS4? made on PS4? Entwined as an example. Remember without the funding of the tens of millions of console gamers you wouldn't have half the games you have today, The witcher 3 devs even said without console the game wouldn't have been possible to the extent it was because the huge income from console sales is INSANE.

I bet you ESO on console makes much more money than on PC, be interesting to see if anyone has the numbers in a month or two.

I mean even the MMORPG review the guy said he can't go back to the PC version because the controller is soo much better than mouse and keyboard. They just need to add chat box to PS4 and it will be perfect.

wow seriously you are now going to argue in your thread about a graphics comparison that consoles generate a bigger revenue. Of course they do my son has one id say a large portion of western households have a console in them. A large proportion of western households have sensible family cars too. In fact sensible family cars probably generate more income in a year than exotic sports cars. so by your logic a volvo is better performing and more fun than a lambo.

    First, 45 > 30

Second, There's barely a drop in FPS I can notice between 1080p and 4k, and no drop between 1080p and 1440p. The reason is because the bottleneck is the CPU. The graphics themselves are not hard to render at all. Of course the FPS will be under 60FPS in cities, because all of the extra players are demanding on the CPU (that's why FPS drops are so prevalent in big PvP battles). When I upgraded from an FX-6300 to an i7-4790k, my FPS in PvP when from a low of about 12-14FPS to never dropping below 25-30FPS. My resolution and graphics settings stayed the same.

Also, I've never seen someone with an enthusiast GPU argue on the side of consoles, so I'm just going to call BS on you owning that card.

    PC graphics > console graphics.

Don't know what the settings are on your pc picture but the graphics on my PC with max settings look much better than that.

Mine, too. There's really no comparison between 3840x2160 (4k) G-Sync with twice the texture resolutions, more detailed models, noticeably better shadows, and framerate never dropping down much from 58 (capped to ensure G-Sync stays active full-time for the zero input lag features & elimination of screen tearing) other than hitting 45ish during giant zerg warfare in Cyrodiil. I'll post a screenshot or two later ;). Yes, the console versions look good enough to be very much enjoyable, just like other games that are cross-platform, but no, they are not close enough to be in the same ballpark :).

This is something PC gamers though very much forget

This is how most console gamers think
    FUN> GFX

This is how PC gamers think
    GFX>FUN

All pc gamers care about these days are 60 fps and 4k which the majority can't even run, especially normal people who have kids and a mortgage and bills, go tell that hot chick int he club you have a £2,000 PC and see if it gets you laid :P most PC gamers seem to act like it will for some reason lol.

You hang around with the wrong girls.
My wife complains that I never listen to her. (Or something like that.)
    -- I'm a one man smurf zerg!

    My ESO addons:
Midnight - Find out when midnight is so that you can check for ww/vamp spawn.
Goto - Adds a tab to the map pane allowing you to teleport to a friend, guildmate, or groupmate for free.

dont need to the pic looks worse than the PS4 no big surprise really considering the PS4'S graphics power is just ahead of a radeon HD 7850. The big surprise here is how poorly your card performed against other PC cards which is why ppl think you may have adjusted the settings.

I once played a game called SWTOR, there was a PVP map called Illum but the HERO engine was that broken that the game went to single digit fps when in big battles, in PVP when you capped all the bases the NPC would do a bombing run and it was that bad everyones fps dropped to 1, i s you not 1... but there was always that guy with a gfx card that said he had 100 fps... so i tend very much not to believe people when they have worse cards than me and much higher fps etc...

I get about 40-50 fps in the open with 4k on my card, like the other guy said the FPS does not drop a ton when using 4k on ESO like it does with most othe rgames, but i get this wierd sluggish stutter even with 40-50 fps not sure what that it.

TBH thats down to player choice with skyshard addons and is no different albeit more convenient then console gamers going to websites to find the locations. On my first playthrough I never used it but now trying to level alts it does come in handy.

Ok so I've taken some more, this time the PC shots are in 4k DSR... And don't forget the PS4 has very bad compression on screenshots, the bricks and textures are quite a bit clearer in game than in these pics. But 4k white having better textures in 4k doesn't look that different from ps4 when at 1080p, 4k is just too sluggish for my taste on a 970.

Quite enjoyable, people forget the PS4 specs are equal to a mid level PC with a mid level graphics board.
So one could just as well argue over whose PC is better.

FF14 has static Zones ESO believe it or not is actually built to be seamless and if you were able to fly up in the air you would see all the land in your faction connected. In FF14 if you flew out of a zone you would be in no-code land because there is nothing out side the zone. That is why you can see further in ff14 vs eso.

Yea only because PS4 is easy to focus on, but my mate i play ESO with when we played on PC together he wa splaying on a laptop with 30 fps on medium/low gfx. I wonder if people has their mid lvl gaming pc specs in their Sig then the 4k PC gamers would compare screenshots and fps :)

So what are you going o play the game on mainly from now? PC or PS4?

I have been enjoying the PvP more so on the PS4 than PC just because of a whole lot less lag.
So I have barely touched my PC version in the last few weeks.

You think you will continue and play the ps4 as main account?

I will keep both but play a lot on PS4 because I have made a lot of friends and joined a guild, something I never did on PC.
You know from observing the lighting effects I believe the PS4 version is more like before the PC lighting patch which
    mucked things up in Cyro.
Maybe one of the things that makes PvP a little smoother, that is just speculation on my part though.
