Why are you soo concerned over gfx instead of a fun game? trust me i'm a gfx fanatic when playing on PC, but when i play ESO on PS4 you forget about it, you hardly ever think about the gfx 24/7 like you seem to do, you are focused on playing the game not the gfx settings.

I can max out ESO at 4k on a 1080p monitor using DSR on a GTX970, and still get better frame rates than consoles.
And my PC can play every single game from NES to Gamecube just fine. I still regularly play through Super Metroid, Super Mario RPG, A Link to the Past, etc.
You can prefer current consoles all you want, but in no way, shape, or form do they do anything better than a PC can.

He's trying to justify playing it on the PS4. You can't even rebind keys on the console, or use any of the fantastic addons our community has worked on to improve the game.
wow seriously you are now going to argue in your thread about a graphics comparison that consoles generate a bigger revenue. Of course they do my son has one id say a large portion of western households have a console in them. A large proportion of western households have sensible family cars too. In fact sensible family cars probably generate more income in a year than exotic sports cars. so by your logic a volvo is better performing and more fun than a lambo.Adam_Chattaway wrote: »eventide03b14a_ESO wrote: »What? rawr meow hiss hiss, really? you know how many indie games are on PS4? made on PS4? Entwined as an example. Remember without the funding of the tens of millions of console gamers you wouldn't have half the games you have today, The witcher 3 devs even said without console the game wouldn't have been possible to the extent it was because the huge income from console sales is INSANE.
I bet you ESO on console makes much more money than on PC, be interesting to see if anyone has the numbers in a month or two.

I have a gtx 970 sc ftw, shall we put that theory to the test? because in the starting EP city i was on 45 fps on max gfx, so i''d love to see how that 4k can increase my fps by 15.

First, 45 > 30
Second, There's barely a drop in FPS I can notice between 1080p and 4k, and no drop between 1080p and 1440p. The reason is because the bottleneck is the CPU. The graphics themselves are not hard to render at all. Of course the FPS will be under 60FPS in cities, because all of the extra players are demanding on the CPU (that's why FPS drops are so prevalent in big PvP battles). When I upgraded from an FX-6300 to an i7-4790k, my FPS in PvP when from a low of about 12-14FPS to never dropping below 25-30FPS. My resolution and graphics settings stayed the same.
Also, I've never seen someone with an enthusiast GPU argue on the side of consoles, so I'm just going to call BS on you owning that card.

Don't know what the settings are on your pc picture but the graphics on my PC with max settings look much better than that.
Mine, too. There's really no comparison between 3840x2160 (4k) G-Sync with twice the texture resolutions, more detailed models, noticeably better shadows, and framerate never dropping down much from 58 (capped to ensure G-Sync stays active full-time for the zero input lag features & elimination of screen tearing) other than hitting 45ish during giant zerg warfare in Cyrodiil. I'll post a screenshot or two later. Yes, the console versions look good enough to be very much enjoyable, just like other games that are cross-platform, but no, they are not close enough to be in the same ballpark
.
This is something PC gamers though very much forget
This is how most console gamers think
FUN> GFX
This is how PC gamers think
GFX>FUN
All pc gamers care about these days are 60 fps and 4k which the majority can't even run, especially normal people who have kids and a mortgage and bills, go tell that hot chick int he club you have a £2,000 PC and see if it gets you laid :P most PC gamers seem to act like it will for some reason lol.

I thought those PC shots looked worse than normal as well.
dont need to the pic looks worse than the PS4 no big surprise really considering the PS4'S graphics power is just ahead of a radeon HD 7850. The big surprise here is how poorly your card performed against other PC cards which is why ppl think you may have adjusted the settings.

He's trying to justify playing it on the PS4. You can't even rebind keys on the console, or use any of the fantastic addons our community has worked on to improve the game.
Fantastic add ons like what? i like playing games as intended not with skyshard map addons and and dps meters etc, i never used them in the 9 years i played wow either.

"As intended" ...
I guess the addon API was put into the game unintentionally, with no thought as to what information to expose (or not expose).
