I'm guessing that Imperial City will cost money
The Imperial City is already locked out of the rest of Cyrodiil, it's very easy to make it a paid DLC. The problem is of a different nature.I'm guessing that Imperial City will cost money
I doubt they would charge for the Imperial City, it seems strange as I don't consider it an added zone, but more an implementation to a zone that already exists. Orsinium, Clockwork City, Realm of Mephala, etc. all are expansions though, which in my mind are worthy of an "entry fee" if you will. When I think of TES I think Cyrodiil and the Imperial City, having that barred from people who aren't willing to pay seems very weird, so I hope it's not the case.

That translates into $200 - $250 real money. No it wont cost that much
Crowns value is roughly 100 for $1

2k-2.5k crowns is more likely

Thats a much more realistic price. Still a bit high but again, more realistic

REALLY? And a snow horse cost 30K? That clearly makes sense.
Given that the Imperial City is a PvP zone expansion, I hope it costs something, as I'm much more PvE than PvP. I'm saying I think both ESO players (PvP and PvE) should suport the game via DLCs.

I don't "support", it's not a charity. I buy a product or a service if I think it's good value for money. I really won't mind at all if the Imperial City and all future DLC aren't free, but I have to admit ZOS misled us for months when they promised a lot of new content, even said it's practically finished, just to keep us paying throughout the second half of 2014 when they already knew the game was going B2P. And now they'll be selling this promised content in the crown store.starlizard70ub17_ESO wrote: »I'm thinking Imperial City will cost around 20K - 25K crowns.

Is there a chance for the Imperial City to eventually be free?

It would effectively make the game subscription-based again. What would be the point of changing the business model then?Consider this. Could all new DLCs be subscription access only?? Would that make sense? Would that be embrassed??

1. This is old, delayed, content that, by all rights, should have been delivered prior to Tamriel Unlimited.
2. Everything in Cyrodiil should be base game to prevent problems with paywalls that block access.
