OK so here is my whine.....Everytime I read a nerf this or buff that or needs balance Its always followed by a PVP. This IS NOT a pvp game. If you want pvp go play COD or battlefield or whatever other fps or strictly pvp game you can find but lets be honest. If your just roaming around ganking noobs with a snipe or zerging or even looking for 3v3 or some type of arena move on. OR JUST PUT YOU PVP CRAP IN THE PVP COMBAT AND SKILLS SECTION !!!!!

Really though, it's clear you don't care for pvp. You don't get to let that dictate what the game is to others, or what it is to Zeni. It is a pvp game as much as it is a pve game. The Alliance Wars were a huge, huge component of the development and the marketing of ESO.

Pvp is much more challenging (and rewarding) for many players and game developers because dynamic, human driven combat (as opposed to scripted encounters, yawn) is unpredictable and difficult to find balance in. For you to tell pvpers to play a different game to suit your preferences is petty. Maybe it is you who is not suited to remain here. Maybe a static, single player rpg is more your speed.

Aaaand - what end game content does ESO offer besides cyrodiil?

Totally undermined by Cadwells though.

Either Cadwells has to go, or AvAvA does.

There is no consistency in the game with both.

For the record, I hate PvP in MMORPGs, but I'd rather see Cadwells removed.

The OP isn't wrong. ESO is mainly a PvE game, with PvP added as a courtesy. Did Zenimax spend millions of dollars on artwork, storylines, and professional voice actors for Cyrodiil? No, they did that for PvE. ESO has been out for well over a year, and how many updates has PvP had? Zero.

You want to enter Cyrodiil? Sorry, you have to PvE to get to level 10 first. Want to use the Soul Assault ultimate in PvP? Sorry, you have to beat the PvE storyline first. Want to use Meteor ultimate in PvP? Sorry, that's Mage's Guild PvE content. Want to have 200 to 300 skillpoints to use? Again, you have to beat the main PvE storyline and gain access to the veteran zones. All of those dolmens, quest hubs, and delves in Cyrodiil? You guessed it, PvE content. Want some of the best gear in the game? Then you have to run trials and veteran dungeons. PvE content. I can complete 90% of the achievements and challenges in ESO and never step foot in Cyrodiil.

I PvP both in veteran and non-veteran campaigns, and I can easily say that PvP is not challenging in any way, shape, or form. It's the same tactics, used in the same fights, at the same locations, over and over again. Other than 1v1, no amount of skill is involved whatsoever. It's all about who has more people in any particular assault.

I've lost count of the number of times that various sets and skills have been nerfed for everyone because of PvP whines.

Considering the "more stringent forum policing"-strategy announced a couple month prior to console release, the amount of posters who do nothing but troll has increased significantly.

As opposed to the troll posters in former times (well, last year...), the new trolls do nothing but complain without ever making constructive and worthy of thought proposals. It's either indiscriminate shot-down of existing things and upcoming changes or it is change proposals that are so far away from a workable compromise that they can only be meant to troll.

This place gets more toxic by the hour.

Actually this game is sold off the back of massive PvP battles, im not sure what game YOU are playing, but I'm playing ESO, the 3 way massed PvP game.

You missed the point of my post entirely. ESO is a PvE game that just happens to have PvP in it. You can't do anything in ESO without PvE being involved in some way, not even in Cyrodiil.

So here's my whine, when people believe only what they want to see should be in GENERAL DISCUSSION.

Clues in the name OP.

Also although I'm not a PVP'er I'm not blind to the fact that a class over performing in PVP is also over performing in PVE.

But in some ways I agree with your gripe about the call for Nerf's as most of the time it's based on someone being killed by a couple of players; who firstly are very good and have min maxed to get the best results. However there have been cases based on whines about PVP that have improved PVE, i.e. my stamina build now works.

Then it turned out that you in fact could NOT play with hundreds of people on screen at once, and Cyrodil has been slowly dying.

That's because it's not a PvP game, and Cyrodiil has had zero updates since launch. There are some players who can't quite comprehend this and will fanboy the PvP aspect of this game to the death. I can complete almost all content in ESO without ever stepping foot in Cyrodiil. Conversely, you can't do squat in ESO without it having something to do with PvE first.

Personally, I bought the game for PVP/Cyrodil and spent roughly 90% of my time there. The performance, lack of updates/content, and terrible multi-server and buff system all made me regret ever purchasing the game in the first place. The B2P switch and console focus didn't help, but that's a whole other thing.

I tried out some PvE when I grew so tired of Cyrodil that I couldn't stand it, and that was OK for maybe a week before it got extremely stale. ZOS just has absolutely no idea who they are or what they should be focusing on. They have no vision and it shows. Their only vision for the past 8 months has been making money from the console launch and cash shop.
