That's like asking if you should try painting after playing with an Etch-o-Sketch.
I just feel like ESO isn't as massive and potentially as good looking as skyrim. I am brand new to this game and enjoying it, just have a feeling the single player experience is better with skyrim.

I played Skyrim, loved it though it's not my favorite in the series. Decided I would try and recreate one of my ESO characters in it a while back. The graphics in the opening are amazing, better than ESO, but quality drops once I got into actual game play. Character creation gives me very little to work with compared to ESO. I also noticed the stair climbing animation was a little janky. Weapon animations however look better than ESO, though the combat itself maybe less fun. Of course I had to get used to a weight system for my inventory again.
Bottom line, you're going to find the world very familar, but many differences exist between the mechanics of both games. That can be jarring, and has tripped up a few people going from Skyrim to ESO. I haven't heard from the experience of anyone going the other way.
ESO has better combat and the ability to play with your friends. Skyrim has better everything else. I highly recommend playing Skyrim.

Thank you for describing mods. Now please read what you quoted and notice it said "Skyrim", as in: the combat system created by Bethesda. Which is fluid enough, but very very simple and I can easily see how ESO could be more enjoyable. Skyrim's archery feels infinitely better, though.ESO has better combat and the ability to play with your friends. Skyrim has better everything else. I highly recommend playing Skyrim.
HAAAAAAHAA better combat system you say? have you tried the Deadly Mutulilation paired with Dual Sheath Redux???
1.with high stealth you can pull out a dagger and chuck it at a bandits head sort of like that dragon age origins scene at the tavern
2. you can wear the heaviest armor and shield and block an attack and watch the enemy fly back or even fall to the ground due to recoil, and even have their own weapons break on them and they throw it at you causing a bit of damage
3. you can ride a horse and basically kick an NPC or enemy down using your own feet, and then continue to stomp them while their on the ground using the horse
4. you can attempt to rob a female wood elf, fail and have her pull out dual katanas and whirlwind your character until your body is chopped into pieces, which after that she slides her katanas away and walks away doing the most sexiest walk ever
5. City guards could fire catapults which could completely blow you away into tiny chunks plus demolish nearby wooden houses & trees
6. you can watch a random mage with 100 destruction skill cast up an ice beam at a dragon and completely freeze it solid, and watch your companion pull out a 2 handed mace and smash it into billions of pieces
ESO combat system is no way better than Skyrim at all
