Best areas farming materials for gold

GandalfTheGrey88
I'm level 28 and the only place i've found helpful for material farming has been the werewolf portal.

Any other places that are good for material farming?

I'm still somewhat of a newbie myself so I'm not sure how much help I can really be. But what kind of mats are you looking for? Cloth, leathers or metals?

Just farm all enemy npc in your current zone. You'd be surprised how much gear you can pick up & sell to vendors.

Btw. Crime does pay, so to speak. Quite good money can be made by thievery, sell the items at an outlaws refuge. Of course you can gain a bounty doing this.

Also there's a passive in each crafting skill line which marks the reagents in a grey smoke throughout the world. It honestly makes mats extremely hard to miss.

Plus you can gain a lot of crafting material to sell simply by deconstructing items. Added bonus, crafting skills also increase.

Cheers for the help guys. I break down everything i steal and sell the ingots, cloth etc.

I keep on hearing about certain areas that monsters drop higher valued materials, and that people are generating in excess of 5k gold an hour through farming the area. I'm currently just finishing up in shadowfen, and haven't come across any enemies dropping many valuable materials

If everyone farmed that area, the value would greatly depreciate. So it's unlikely that areas which produce a lot of gold are going to be discussed in a public forum. If someone did describe how they made a lot of money, chances are their source of income would quickly disappear once everyone started doing it as well. Just like in real life, value is placed on the rarity of a resource. If copper was rarer than gold, we'd all be wearing copper jewellery.
