Console has almost been out for a month now, and I am interested to see where people now stand on the idea of console Text Chat. People have had a chance to play the game, and get a feel of what it is like. I know that before launch, or when console first launched, there where some strong views on this subject (and there still our). Most people have now had a chance to explore the game for a month now, getting to see what it is like to join a guild, trade/sale items, do group dungeons, and PVP.
This is a simple Poll to see if views have changed and where people stand now after a month of playing the game.

There are some good points for omission and inclusion.

Wait... Now let me get this straight because I am somewhat mind blow, even for these forums.
Your argument AGAINST adding a convenience that:- Makes life easier for group and guild recruitment.
- Allows more effective RP without immersion breaking real-voice.
- Can be optionally turned on or off.
- Most people want.
...is that IT IS TOO MUCH LIKE PC?
Sorry women, but we're gonna have to take that right to vote away. We've decide it was TOO MUCH LIKE WHAT MEN HAVE, so you will have to go back to being barefoot in the kitchen.
This is the same as people arguing against quality-of-life features from other games, not because it wouldn't be a good thing, but because "other games did it." Just because it has been done, DOESN'T MAKE IT A BAD THING.

Our guild currently uses an app to replace the lack of text chat on PS4.
We just mainly want it for quick things like LFM / LFG or Need X etc, we have good community around voice chat and always have good conversations going.
Sometimes you like to just chill and zone out collecting mats without chatting but would still like to see if a group is forming for something.
Hell EVEN make it Guild text chat only if there is a worry bout console farmers.
Then again text chat could be just that little bit more load on the infrastructure and completely kill PvP or high populated towns

✭No Text ChatI answer no because no to Cyrodil. Ive played 2-3 week now Cyrodil daily (Ive managed to get 3 mill AP, so you guess how much, lets just say Ive had fun. ) Anyway, I thikn this game is SOOO much better without chat for Cyrodil. Chat just leads to zergs, people tell reports of where the battle is and everyone go there. Currently on console we have alot more battles everywhere, small pvp, large PVP, sometimes zerg happens if everybody happen to do the same thing.
