3000cr for a mount - is this reasonable?

I wish people would look up what pay to win means before using it to describe literally anything they sell in the store.

The only thinking coming close to it are some of the consumables, till we start seeing powerful weapons and top tier gear in it we are not out of the blurry grey area yet.

You sir, are not my hero.

Yes. Yes I did. A couple reasons for that:

    - No point in arguing against the crown store any more. It's here and it's staying. I lost.
    - Don't care about the price of optional crown store fluff. It's optional. You don't need it. If you want it, pay whatever they're asking for it. If you find the price outrageous, vote with your wallet.

What MMO costs only $30? Also alot of people buy these with free crowns from the ESO+ membership.

I picked up guild wars 2 and the secret world both for 30 dollars some time ago, sales happen especially on steam from time to time. Sure if you subbed you could theoretically spend you points on this, but seems like a gross misuse of points.

GW2 is $40 on steam right now.

Now if you see a lot of these mounts on PC/MAC then they may have just used the crowns they saved up by subbing a while back. I know I have over 6k in crowns so if i wanted it I could get it with those. You just can't say people bought crowns today and bought it with those crowns. They may not have really made any money on the horse at this time.

Now if you see them on consoles, yeah pretty much they made money there.

    Just saying.

Oh and have a safe and happy 4th. Be extra careful out there they are saying something is going to happen this 4th. That big boom may not be what you think!

Is spending 3000 Crowns reasonable for a mount? For me yes because i sub and get 1500 crowns a month. I sub to the game not because i want the crowns or xp boost but because i want to support the game. the crowns are just a bonus for me, so i will buy things on impulse. To me at this point it is "free money".

Would I by the mount if I was not subing? Yeah sure i might do it once maybe twice a year were i would purchase crowns to use. It would take a lot more than a cool looking mount to get me to spend the crowns tough, maybe if the mount has added 5% run speed or added 10 to my inventory automatically, perhaps even reduced falling damage.

But they do sell Legacy Scrolls and all the other items needed to turn a mediocre end-game LI in to an Uber-LI.

Yes, it has taken LOTRO longer than I expected to get to P2W but it is starting to get perilously close.

No, a Mount really should be no more than £5-10.
A Cosmetic Pet, no more than £2.
A full set of cosmetic clothing, £2-5.

Whoever it is in their "bean-counter-crown-store-delivery department" that thinks I'm paying more for a mount than I pay for most games has clearly drank more Skooma than down-and-out Kajhiit on Khenarthi's Roost docks.

And in reality his/her future employment prospects should be just as good as that Kajhiit's as well.

    All The Best

I think a mount should be about £5, but only if it has better stats than in-game mounts, a cosmetic pet about 60p and cosmetic clothing set about £3.

Anything that is purely for looks should be no more than £3 in my opinion.

In WoW, mounts go for US$25. I just bought 3000 crowns for exactly AU$25 (about US$20).
I feel the dollar values you put in your vote/poll are biased and misleading.

    I just bought the horse.
It doesn't make me do more dps.
I don't earn xp faster than someone else.

    I just liked it.

The highlighted statement or response is so overused yet so illegitimate. Setting high prices for mounts can set a precedent for their DLC sales or other items that people might be interested in. How else would the gaming industry have fallen into the hole that it is right now where half of the original game is found in DLC packs?

More than $30 for a mount? They aren't mining for gold in a forbidden zone that is policed by angry terrorists who will KOS anyone there without a permit.

No, they are just reskinning a mount. You cray.

500 more than his fire cousin, maybe because of the icy aura ? xD

I voted yes but I don't really care, I am reasonable enough not to buy it if I think the price is too high. :)

Though I understand that people who want that mount so badly and don't have extra cash to waste are upset. It's all about marketing I guess, there is nothing much we can do about it, it's like telling another compagny to lower their prices so we can afford their services. The prices of all the crown store are insane to me, but ZOS is not the only one to do so. :/ And they need cash to keep the game running and updated.

I got it cause i wanted it (and i had some crowns thank to plus member) but this price for a simple re-skin isn't right.
Coul be "reasonable" if give you something extra, like ice effect on the character, a title, more speed... don't know... anything works, but 30$us for a re-skin sound expensive (and it is) <excuse my seudo-english>

    No.

I will buy the mount only because i'm a weirdo with collecting stuff.

But this doesnt mean i agree with the price. Its totaly overpriced for any casual player. And now people will say that its not intended for casual players but for players with golden pockets trying to make a visual difference ingame. Agreed, but even for them, doesnt it feel wrong to give 3k crowns for a mount in a game that is still in beta stage considering all the bugs and problems every aspect of the game presents daily?

Conclusion: zenimax should really be focusing in fixing the game, rather than extorting real money from their devoted players.
When the game transforms from "Elder bugs online: lag unlimited" to "Elder scrolls online: tamriel unlimited", then 3k crowns for a mount would be okey. cause people would enjoy the game anyway and would be inclined to give their money for it. Right now its just too much to give for a broken game.

3000 crowns for a mount is CRAZY! All it is is a Skin. Mounts are still useless. Now if this *** had wings and could fly. *** yeah i would spend 3000 crowns for it.
