Old news is old. Yes, this has been explicitly spelled out ever since it was first announced that ESO would be going B2P. There have been tons and tons of threads about it too...
Got a ton of crowns from ESO plus. TBH I forgot that I had it coming out of my account
Will buy it from that and buy crowns as necessary in the future for new zones.
OK, I have a question...Yes, thats the description for ESO+ since start of ESO+.
You do get crowns for your membership. One could use them to buy the DLCs.
Not a thread but the official page.
Without the added part, I'm not surprised some players are confused.if you're an ESO+ members, and DLC comes out, you get the DLC for free,
So I just figured this out today, and it's not sitting well with me, and based on responses to another thread, this is not common knowledge...or maybe it is and I just don't read notes close enough. Anyway here goes.
Did you know that, if you're an ESO+ members, and DLC comes out, you get the DLC for free, but if you ever cancel your ESO+ members, you LOSE the DLC and have to buy it?
Cause I didn't, and this could impact my decisions moving forward.

Everyone I've seen seems to be assuming that we will be able to buy the DLC with Crowns. Has this actually been confirmed anywhere? Are we certain that the DLC won't be made solely available via the website, where you'd be forced to pay actual cash, and couldn't use Crowns?
If someone could provide a link to a source that definitively states that the DLC will indeed be purchasable with Crowns, I'd very much appreciate it.

"While you’re a member, you’ll enjoy faster progression thanks to the helpful buffs to XP, gold, and crafting, and you’ll be able to access any DLC game pack that’s available. If your membership ends, you’ll still be able to play ESO (and keep any items and rewards you earned playing within DLC), but you won’t be able to access DLC game pack content that you haven’t purchased separately."
They have been very open about this.

You said there were tons and tons of threads about this...that isn't a thread. IMO, that is still unclear. If I'm ESO+, and DLC comes out, IMO, I HAVE paid for it.

You'd think so, but probably the reason they don't let you keep it is because they suspect a lot of folks would subscribe the month DLC hit, only to then immediately unsubscribe.
Sure, here are a few where it's specifically discussed that the DLC access is only while subscribed:
