For $450 you can build a rig that's better then both consoles and you would have access to mods and the PC community.

    No you can't.

I agree with the sentiment here. I play some characters that are pretty hardcore thieves, they deserve a grey cowl. That being said, many items in the open world are too easily clicked and stolen when there was no intentionality for it. That's just bad game design. There is a similar issue between Lag, Looting, and Ultimates. Anyone who has ever played this game for a reasonable amount of time, and actually uses their Ultimates is aware of this. You click to loot something, and it brings up a list. You click 'R' (on PC) to loot that stack of items. Instead of looting though, your ultimate fires off because the game is lagged out or not replying to your commands properly. Why in the hell is looting even remotely related to your Ultimates? No one knows but its damn annoying. I mark this as the same kind of issue, and it really should be resolved, or at least we should be able to more openly remap our keyboard functions (and I think controller players should have that same kind of control). Let us play the way WE WANT TO. That is how the game was sold. :P

Try picking up a white item from near to a NPC around town. For example a weapon in a weapon rack at the blacksmith. I don't play on PS4 but if it's the same as the PC version you won't get asked if you want to steal it or not and will get a bounty if you're spotted.

Better then Xbox and at least on par if not slightly better then PS4. I did some research not long ago and if you don't count the monitor, keyboard, etc. $450 will get you a pretty good rig when shopping smart. I don't want to derail this thread into that highly debatable topic, just wanted to say that I was close to pulling the trigger on a $460 rig when the Xbox $125 deal fell into my lap.

There is a way to prevent unintentional stealing:

Read before clicking, watch what are you doing, dont mash random buttons and pay attention to what is happening on screen.

All of above is a common sense which is unfortunately lacking nowadays .

I was gonna say that, but basically ... yes.

Play ... a little more slowly.

He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.

I'm sorry but this is not about common sense at all. As I explained very clearly, some items are buggued, and if you mouse-over them, they do not appear stealable, but at certain camera angle, you can steal them. Which means, with a bit of common sense, that you can play slowly and being careful with them, and seeing they can't be picked assume this is a thing that will not change. So when you come back to cook for the tenth time in the day, you can be pretty confident about these items not being stealable.

The other thing that is "common sense": In which way such an option would disturb your game experience since you'd be able not to check it? I mean, this kind of logic just means "I don't want this, because I want other people to be annoyed just for the pleasure of them being annoyed."

Just because they released an mmo on pc first doesn't make you a master race. Just an easier to deal with race.

PCs are better than consoles. That's the point.

Kids buy up pretty much any game for consoles play them for a bit then buy another so comparing game sales is just silly.

Also, any game that is on console that has a pc counterpart pales in comparison 99 percent of the time. I only say 99 because there may be an acception but I'm not aware of any myself.

I like how your "pc master race" pic is some fat guy obviously living alone and I doubt has any friends outside of the pc game. I like it because when I read "pc master race", that's exactly what I think lol. Some overweight guy who's only friends are the other people touting pc master race.

Funny you don't know who he is so you don't get the joke. People who have high end PCs tend to make some pretty good money.

    Don't hate, just appreciate.

It's very easy to accidentally steal owned items that are not in containers. IMO, it's a design flaw in the justice system, but thankfully at least PC players have access to an addon that prevents it.

Just ignore anyone that says things like "the system is fine" and "just be more careful", as they are simply the fanboys that will defend any piece of trash system that ZOS implements. They are probably the same people that argue that "the minimal UI is fine, and isn't missing any options that anyone else should want."

As for "PC Master Race" comments, if this game wasn't so unbearably broken without addons to fix it, we wouldn't have nearly as large an advantage as we do over console players.

Another Justice SYstem complaint: don't put NPCs you have to fight for quests right next to innocent villager NPCs that wander into your fight, get hit, and then incur a bounty.
Example: I'm at Alcaire Castle fighting General Thodah's troops, a random NPC walks into the fight, gets hit by my Bitting Jabs, and suddenly I'm a wanted man -_-

I would certainly be in favor of a "No Stealing" option in ESO. One time I was trying to interact with something that wasn't stealing related and a NPC came along and actually pushed me a few inches in one direction just about the same time I clicked the mouse. Some items can be taken with just one click and so of course I ended up stealing something I didn't want to. I wasn't being careless as some of you imply. And no, I'm not a anti-Legerdemain zealot. I have a Level 20 thief that's very good at it :)

Well I'm a big fan, almost fanboy of The Elder Scrolls in every forms it can take (I'm excited about Elder Scrolls Legends :D) but I can tell when something isn't quite right and propose a reasonable solution to fix it.
Anyway I don't quite see what PC Master Race has to do with this topic, since this game exists on both PC and consoles and suffer the exact same flaws and bright for the exact same reasons. I own this game on both Xbox One and PC and I prefer PC for only one simple reason: I don't have to deal with 12 years old on public voice chat, but this put aside, it's the exact same game.

That's was basically my point. The two versions are very similar. With the possible exception of the facepalm-inducingly stupid lack of text chat in the console version, the only real advantage PC players have over console players in this game is the ability to use addons.

And if the game wasn't so desperately dependent on addons to be playable (for most people), that major PC advantage would no longer be a major advantage.

Well. I think it's more of an if/ then thing.

If you are playing "quickly", then small things that require finesse will be harder for you.

I can't count the number of times that my BF has had problems with going off a cliff on his flaming horse. Every single one of them has been when he's in the middle of "high speed leveling" galloping his *ss off, using a spell to augment his already maxed out speed.

Playing in a non-spazz state, this doesn't happen.

    Same with other subtle things.

PC is not far and away better than console. I have so many issues trying to get games to run on PC. And it's not because I have an inferior machine. But making sure the operating system and all your drivers are compatible, it's a freaking hassle.

I used to so heavily prefer PC gaming over consoles, but not anymore. Virtually every game style out there in existence I have migrated away from the PC and to the console.
