Honestly everyone at this point is along for the ride if your still playing. Has Zenimax lied... Yes multiple times so what would make a difference if they say again at quakecon it's coming in the next 3 Months, it could be honestly 4 or 5.

So I read every post in this thread and must say majority are right on track about the game, direction of the game and how we are treated as customers.

Been @swtor for a few days and I must say having more fun than I have here in the last 6 months.

I reinstalled SWTOR last night, because I have an MMO hole and ESO wasn't filling it anymore. There's nothing to keep me around anymore. PvP is stale and laggy and the only focus has been the cash store and consoles for the past 6-8 months, neither of which interest me in the least.

So, my sub money is going elsewhere unless ZOS does something that proves they are headed back in the right direction.

Omg people still play Tortanic ! LoL....in all seriousness though I stopped playing ToR because they completely failed on the PVP front. illum was the biggest disaster of open world PVP I have seen. They since decided that their efforts are best spent on their very profitable cartel market and just going gun *** into PVE. As it stands the game is completely worthless to anyone looking for what was originally promised as an all out PVP war between the republic and empire, but if your looking for a traditional raid type of game with tiers of progression and an endless gear treadmill then TOR is the game for you, it's got tons of dailies to do solo, good amount of dungeons and raids. Huttball was the only PVP triumph they had, but you can only play that for so many years before you want to scoop your own eyes out with a rusty spoon.

Sith and jedi do not play games. It's a war. They totally broke that game not having a war atmosphere, instead of the games are against arch enemies.

Aye, did the same after the E3 Fallen Empire trailer.

Quite remarkable just how bad ESO is when you play a decent MMORPG like SWTOR.

Though to be fair SWTOR was a car crash at launch, and it took them a few months to turn things around.

LOL @ all the SWTOR comments ;)

I left swtor to come ESO I enjoyed at first but left in the end and went back to Swtor due to the unbalanced LA Magica vs Stamina builds. Then 1.6 dropped my friends left SWTOR for Smite so I came back here.

At first 1.6 was great Stamina builds were on par with Magica, but now due to the Champion system there are so many stupid OP builds and redundant Racials I quit the other day, and if it wasn't for SWTOR not letting me sub (Keep getting a error) I would be playing it again.

Things that pee me off still in the game.

1 Nirnhoned Armour traits, theres nothing quite like having your 19k frags reduced to 1.5k
    2 Infinate Roll dodge
3 Champ point grinding (Im on nearly 5hrs a day and 15+ on my days off work I have 193, yet people are in the 400+ now
4 TTK is pathetic in this game Double Snipes from Stealth, +insane Burst damage from NB's =Death in 1 second which leads to no counter play
5 Animation cancelling opens the door to macro abuse, Ambush>Surprise Attack>Light attack>Incapacitating Strike all in 1 second GG

No other MMO has such broken mechanics (well none that ive played SWTOR,TSW,GW2) even though ive quit now so far 1 day I still find myself watching ESO streams and Im itching to get back on, but I know if I do the above will just pee me off again.

Then we get to the ESO ZOS future (things we know are coming) YOU SHOWED US IMPERIAL CITY LAST YEAR AT QUAKECON 2014 E3 2015 comes along and you show even less of whats coming up, and re hashed video from 2014, you need to open up a hell of a lot more to keep people interested, and to enjoy the game. I can log onto GW2 and still be at maxed level and jump in straight away to end game content, will I be able to do this in ESO by the looks of things so far no as even 1 day off makes me weaker with less Champion points.

I realy do love this game but the longer I play it the more I see how broken it is and makes me want to quit.

    /Rant over

I feel your pain, I go through the same thing everyday, so much so that I uninstalled the game a few days ago to stop me logging in and getting frustrated.

I posted a forum post a few weeks back regarding the macro abuse going on and was met with it's impossible there are global cool downs on skills!

I know for a fact macro abuse is going on after being 1 shot with a combo similar to what you mention.

The worst part about this is you report players and nothing seems to happen to them! You'll be minding your own business running to a keep defense from reds and get 1 shot by this yellow (You've reported 7-8 times) in 1 sec with a macro combo, and he runs off on his merry little way!

    All The Best

Yeah but only a few months!

    Precisely my point.

SWTOR listened to the playerbase, made appropriate changes ans turned their game around.

I can't comment on previous posters' comment on PvP in SWTOR because I just don't PvP in MMORPGS. MMORPGs are NOT the place for genuine skill-based (as in player skill) PvP. The attempt to balance a single in-game skill-set with the requirements of fun and dynamic co-operative PvE and fun and dynamic combatative PvP has, in my experience of MMORPGS, always failed.

Every company that has tried has seen its game get worse for the 90% of content and 80% of players that never have anything to do with PvP. ESO will be no different, because regular PvPers (who make up as an industry average just under 20% of the player community) are some of the most vociferous and organised whiners in MMORPGs. Not to say they don't have justifiable whines about some things, they do, especially from a PvP-centric point of view.

But the truth is most MMORPGs have less than 10% of total content devoted to PvP and less than 20% of players who regularly engage in PvP.

In any other industry the smart-money goes towards refining the 90% of content that nearly all players will use and making sure the bulk of the money-providers - the 80% of player who rarely if ever touch PvP - are kept happy.

In this industry companies tend to try and chase the PvP audience because a) they are often the loudest and b) most MMORPGs believe that if they can just keep the the PvPers happy they will "have it made".

What they fail to realise is that most PvPers, especially the high-end ultra-competitive PvPers have no real long-term commitment to ANY game; they are always waiting for the "next new shiney" because if they get in their first, master the theorycrafting and build design they'll have an edge no one else will - and that means more to them than loyalty to any specific game.

Same here. I used to check my hirelings(before they were nerfed) everyday on eso now I don't even download patches anymore. Plus swtor has that 12xp for main class missions I'm already working on my 7th alt.

Idk swtor just feels like it's a mmorpg that was done right. The mounts and gear choices are insane, bug free patches, no loading screens while in game, a real cash shop that sells cool items and isn't intrusive either. This is a game that paying the monthly sub is actually worth having. Also new content SoR was in what November of last year? Then they announced another one set to be released in 2 months. That's enough to keep hardcore or casual gamers happy and busy for a while.

Eso fails in these things and it's really sad because at one time I really liked this game.

I don't disagree but every single point applies to high-end PvE and the high-end ultra-competitive PvEers as well. Except that traditionally much less than 20% of the players take part in high-end raiding.
