Main page is a thread for an ESO live tomorrow which I doubt is in response to your post.

Aye, did the same after the E3 Fallen Empire trailer.
Quite remarkable just how bad ESO when you play a decent MMORPG like SWTOR.
Though to be fair SWTOR was a car crash at launch, and it took them a few months to turn things around.

I like the game-play style of ESO better, but the immersiveness and grouping dynamics of SWTOR is leaps and bounds ahead.
What is SWTOR like? Never played it and I'm genuinely curious.

It is more along the lines of a classic MMO. It feels more like an MMO.
As far as gameplay, the class stories and voice over is extremely well done. A blast to level through. The classes have unique playstyles. There's TONS of things to do. I played form launch up until the first expansion, so there has been a whole lot added to the game since I played last, but it looks like a lot of good content. I would just check out some gameplay footage on youtube, or just download and try it since it's F2P.
On top of that, it's in the Star Wars universe

Is "After QuakeCon" the new "After E3", which was in turn the new "After Console".
Look forward to "After Thanksgiving", "After Christmas" and "After New Years" coming soon.
I can't be the only who thinks Zeni are full of sh!te, can I?

The levelling experience is pretty unique as every class has its own, fully voice-acted and cut-scene, unique story arc.
If you play Republic whatever class you play you will in effect visit the same set of planets in the same order, and while the "generic" quests will be the same each time your Class Story will be unique. Works the same for the Imps.
You'll also have Companions that you pick up along the way as part of your unique class story, some with be healers, some with tanks, some DPS. You are able to choose which one you want and you will need to gear them up as you progress.
The bonus is how Companions tie into Crafting: each Companion has a buff to to crafting skills, and you can set your companions to craft for you. So if you have 2 Companions you can have one with you to assist with questing, and one doing crafting.
Game play is more of traditional skill bar, locked-target, combat. But some class still feel very mobile and dynamic. Its a lot less static than LOTRO or WoW for example.
The rub comes with Free To Play, there are a lot of things gated behind the cash shop for F2P players that, IMO, just shouldn't be. You'll need to buy extra skill bars beyond the first two, there's a credit cap, you can't hide your head slot without buying that ability in the Store.
But all of those locks disappear with a sub, and the SWTOR Sub has way more bonuses than ESO. In fact of the various games I play that are F2P and have a Sub option the only one I consider worth the money for a Sub is SWTOR.
When they do expansions you get tons of freebies if you are subbed at specific dates in the run in to the expansion. I was subbed prior to the Stronghold (player housing) expansion and got in excess of 1,000,000 Credits worth of free stuff.
As it is F2P I'd recommend trying it; but be aware that there is a TON of difference between F2P and Subbed.
