Maintenance for the week of December 22:
• NA megaservers for maintenance – December 22, 4:00AM EST (9:00 UTC) - 8:00AM EST (13:00 UTC)
• EU megaservers for maintenance – December 22, 4:00AM EST (9:00 UTC) - 8:00AM EST (13:00 UTC)

Are we EVER going to get a patch that actually has CONTENT in it?

Also look at Guild Wars 2. They have a very very very health population and are about to release a new expansion and have already added more features and content in that game then this game has in 1 year.

Maybe because it was released in August 2012. It's also a very different game and it's definitely not a true comparison.

so wait now your saying B2P is not the same as another B2P game.

So if i am not allowed to compare B2P games to F2P games and i cant compare b2P to B2P then what can i compare it too?

Look at the improvements and content that was added by GW2 in 1 year vs the no content released for ESO.
It's also a very different game and it's definitely not a true comparison.

Is this going to be your usual weak fanboi response?

Oh, no, that doesn't count its not a true comparison.

Is this really the best you can do to defend Zeni?
    They must really be indefensible.

    All The Best

I'm not sure we are playing the same game anymore? The complexity of the world in Guild Wars is low. Empty landscape, empty houses, empty caves. It feels like an old F2P game. I am most certainly not a developer of Guild Wars 2, but I've done my share of programming and I'm fairly sure that GW2 is easier to add content to than ESO.

Also, I am not a "fanboy" by any means, I am merely being realist and comparating MMOs, even if they both are B2P MMOs, is not a fair comparison, every game is very different, and the development process for each is also going to be very different.

So basically you are saying NO ONE can EVER compare any game to another? Why didn't you just say that in the first place?

    you can only compare
    WOW to WOW
    ESO to ESO
    DAOC to DAOC
    EQ1 to EQ1

    and so on....

You will just need to learn how to be more patient. That &/or play other games in the mean time & come back to ESO when new content is available. I've been playing MMORPG's since the 90's. A time when some games saw no new content until an actual expansion was released. This did not include the occasional holiday event which were always small & cosmetic. Developers today have to work a whole lot harder to push out content in a timely fashion. In fact, some push out content a little too fast which often leads to more problems. ESO is not some small 2D/3D craptastic eastern based MMO where they can dump out content since it's a lot easier to accomplish. I am perfectly fine for waiting as long as is necessary for something new to come out. I have quite a few other MMORPG's to play in the meantime. As well as The Witcher 3 & Arkham Knight to play :D.

Sorry but that is BS. This is not them unable to release content. This is them with plenty of content but being greedy about releasing it to have the greatest impact across all platforms. If they wanted to release content they could but they won't until the consoles are ready to digest more content (at the continuing expense of PC players who paid subs for a year).

Erm, at launch when we all paid for the game and then continued paying a subscription we were promised new content every 6 weeks. In one year plus, what have we got? Craglorn. That's literally it.

We have been patient, incredibly patient in fact. We've waited and waited and we've forgiven broken promise after broken promise and here we are still waiting. It's about time people actually started getting angry and demanding ZOS give us what we have been paying for for so long. Polite and civil feedback does not seem to get them moving at all.

Pretty sure over half the players who ever had a forum account are banned for voicing their opinions.

What absolutely kills me about this game is where they are focusing their weight of effort.

There have been bugs riddling the code since launch, but the only real "fixes" we see are nerfs to grind spots.

Hell, how long did it take to "fix" the problem with horses not being able to go up a hill?

I don't mean this as an insult, but it seems like the programmers they have now are not the original authors of the coding, abs only have a cursory understanding of it, therfore, all edits we are seeing are only skin-deep, since there is a lack of ability time effectively manipulate the code without breaking it.

Do me a favour and google Marvel Heroes, then look at their patch notes.

    Then look at ours.

That is a completely 100% free to play game, no money down, no purchases ever need to be made to play, ever. All from a small company.

Now look at our patch notes, supposedly from a triple A title MMO, backed from a massive company with a HUGE budget, that does require people to actually buy the game AND has a subscription model still attached to it for further benefits plus the cash shop on top of that.

How the heck are we not supposed to be pissed off?

Marvel heroes is a fun.. yet small game. Where the game devs pretend to listen to feed back.

But what they really keep doing is fluffing the game up with pointless updates in order to goat players into wasting money. You can grind and gear you toon up, and in a few months your toon is now underpowered or needs to be re-skilled and re-equipped. Skills that you you love, might be broken..

Also the fact is.. If you really don't like how Gaz is doing things and express your views.. They will ban you in game without reason and ignore you no matter how much money you spent.

Marvel heroes is the 1st game i've ever played where all my friends where banned.. For no reason. And when they ask 'why?" they ignore them. ..With no reason given. Seriously.

ESO is HUGE compared to that tiny shoe box of a game MH. And it took MH over year to get their game to run smooth.

bs! I was permabanned from MH (completely my own fault, a misunderstanding with the store, but still, my fault) and all I had to do was send a PM, boom, fixed. Still couldn't play for a week, but a week is a helluva lot better than forever.

If your friends were banned, they would've gotten an email explaining why and they damn well knew why lol. If not, they could've simply emailed the appeals address and asked for an explanation and they will give you one.

I've never met ANYONE ... EVER, that got banned and didn't know why.

Make stamina builds even with magicka builds.
    Disable abilities while holding block.
Give us a REASON to do dungeons more than once.
Remove PVP AoE CAP. It is ruining Cyrodiil.
Fix/Remove Forward Camps. They are ruining Cyrodiil.
Impenetrability needs to REDUCE CRIT DAMAGE. Not negate entire builds.

Screw this be patient ***. I have been patient, I was playing during early access (during one of the beta's really but that doesn't really count), and since then, all we have got is an overhaul which didn't do a whole lot, and Craglorn, which is a piece of trash.

I am so over this. I have spent far to much time and money on this game than I should have, if I had have known how appalling the delivery of content was going to be, I doubt I would have even bought it, what to speak of subscribed for as long as I did.

Don't get me wrong, amazing game to begin with, but after repeating the same stuff over and over without any new content (like I said, apart from craglorn, whch I have already stated is terrible and completely uninteresting), and without any real improvements while constantly being promised "Soon™". I am just so sick of this. I want to love this game, but I can't even stand logging in anymore. I just check the forums sometimes, because that little glimmer of hope hasn't completely died in me yet, but it won't be long.

It really comes down to bad management and directing imo. A lot of stuff has been almost release-ready since QuakeCon, especially several kinds of armor. Heck, there are lot of styles that are in the game but not available to players. Adding those to loot tables is not such a monumental update that it would require to halt all console or cash shop development, but for some reason priority has been given to literally anything else.
Alandrol Sul: He's making another Numidium?!?

Everyone here is using the false assumption that your, the devs, and the owners goals are all the same.

Your goal = have fun in the game
The devs goal = Make the owners happy so they dont get fired
The Owners goal = make as much money as possible

Many times the decisions made are because it will bring in more money and not necessarily contribute to more fun for their player base.

What they haven' realized yet it that if they concentrate on making a fun game as their sole purpose, they'll make more money than they can imagine.

imho craglorn is pretty nice (except for the non-trial quests which are nothing but annoying).

the overhaul (aka champion system) is also really decent, especially if catchup mechanics will eventually close the gap and the remainder will truely be subject to diminishing return (with most players still short of their first 120pts passive and putting points into their primary damage boosting tree, ignoring secondary ones, returns are barely diminishing). oh, and activities should be more comparable w.r.t XP return. DSA seems to be the best I can do (almost a CP in ~45min) outside from grinding (~5CP per hour IF you ever get the terrible spot for you and your friend). would be great if dungeos, trials, dsa, questing, pvp would all yield a comparable amount of XP/hour.

So are vCoH and vCoA - however, both were fun the day they were released and then quickly became boring and repetetive.

I'm not a big fan of dailies and the stress they put on you (do not miss a day!), but I don't really mind it and I really like the incentive to go play different dungeons. Even if runs only take 10minutes today and people only do them with 3.5 DD's on their 3rd or 4th twink to level undaunted, I find those dungeons somewhat enjoyable.

Tbh, I really like the added content, BUT

It's just too little for a game that was (and still is) to be played for a long, long time.

Trials require some organisatorial overhead. Getting 12 people together that know their roles and can actually work on some progression doesn't usually happen 7 days a week. Dailies were a nice idea but do not work with the champion system - there's close to nothing you can do where you get as little CP as in daily-dungeons.
Pretty much everyone I know cleard vCoA the first time they went there. Some took several runs to farm their helmet btu again, the *** part is that the XP is so bad, just going there for the fun or for helping out a mate feels like anti-progression.

All that remains is fighting for the last few hundred points int he Veteral Portal Slaying Arena and PvP (which dramatically developed to its worse due to lag - I guess caused by player behavior and hopefully not by bad patches but still - many of the patches actually tried to encourage certain player behavior. I guess it's fair to say that the result can be seen as a failure.)

Imperial City was anounced before the game even released. The main story could be said to be open-ended. We have seen teasers of IC, Orsinium, Mephalas Realm, that cloakwerk thingy, Murkmire, etc.

It's really time for something to happen. The "holy trinity" for most PvE content evolved to a 3.5 DD meta where one poor guys does the tanking and healing (and some damage) and the other three see if they can beat 30k dps. Content isn't too easy - it was fine initially (any changes that made it easier were uncalled for, of course). Players are just way to experienced at everyting because there is so little fresh stuff to do.

ESO is titan when compared to such a small game MH. You can't compare them... Seriously.

Again.. most of the so called updates in MH breaks the game. Not everyone wants their skills or items changes CONSTANTLY for no reason. Other then to keep moving the goal post just so gaz can sell more stuff. And you can't sit there and say its a good thing when alot don't think it is.

Remember this game BOMBED on PC. Its hit on consoles. So, now the true wait begins. Sorry for you PC guys, but thats the reality here.

If it was not a hit on consoles... then this game probably would have been left 4 dead.

Well I've already decided that if there is not any new content by the first of August, both my wife and I will unsub. The extra crowns and 10% XP bonus is not worth the money and so why pay for DLC that hasn't been released. We have been subscribed since launch and we are getting tired of the broken promises of new content.

Players on PC need to stop think about their year of waiting.

The game BOMBED... on pc. They spent time revamping it and getting it ready for consoles.

And now.. its a hit on consoles. And it being a hit on consoles is good news for everyone. Because now they have the players needed to fuel the need to add more content. And PC will benefit from this.

    Thats my take on it.
