Why? so I can listen to them jerk us around for another year with cats and dresses in the cash shop instead of actually giving us something to do in the game?

You really shouldn't expect too many content patches. A patch in this game is exactly what it is, a patch, fix stuff. If you want more content, wait for DLCs.
You may not like it, but that's how businesses usually work.
Huggernaut wrote: »The F2P argument is BS.
Do me a favour and google Marvel Heroes, then look at their patch notes.
Then look at ours.
That is a completely 100% free to play game, no money down, no purchases ever need to be made to play, ever. All from a small company.
Now look at our patch notes, supposedly from a triple A title MMO, backed from a massive company with a HUGE budget, that does require people to actually buy the game AND has a subscription model still attached to it for further benefits plus the cash shop on top of that.
How the heck are we not supposed to be pissed off?

and it's that kind of sheeple attitude that allows game companies to gouge us more and more every year.
Thanks!

That's like comparing Minesweeper to Minecraft.

July starts tomorrow. I would reserve your rant for the middle of July, as they have stated they will be providing more info on upcoming content in July.

I think we were playing different fackin games then.
I remember very vividly large amounts of content each month while playing Asheron's Call 1, or Anarchy Online, hell even Everquest with there millions of expansion packs still regularly added content monthly.
As for being patient, I think we have already demonstrated a massive amount of patience over the past year while we basically beta tested the game for console releases, most us paying them for that privilege.
Exactly when does patience cross the line into stupidity?

The industry changes. It might not have been that way 10 years ago, but now it is. The goal is to make money.
Content patches = low ROI, DLC = high ROI
You can argue that this is a sheeple attitude, I call it being realist to the current market situation.
I don't call important bug fixes "fluff and polish" and that's largely all these 'hotfixes' are.VictoriaRachel wrote: »No. I honestly do not. I expect that content will be contained within DLC. Patches will only contain fluff and polish.

You are proving my point for me, thank you.
It's because people like yourself (sheeple) find ways to justify game companies actions, that they have been able to steadily increase the pace at which they attempt to screw us over, year by year, over the past 10+ years and they continue to grow more bold every year because people like yourself just go (shrug).
If some people actually decided to grow a brain and stopped giving companies that are screwing over their populations, maybe they'd wisen up and actually start acting like proper companies again.

Lol, all the devs in that game are extremely active on the forums please, PLEASE, PLEASE go there and tell them that pushing out content in their game is effortless.
I would love to see what they have to reply to that.
Please don't even bother replying here anymore, the grown ups are talking.

EQ did not add content monthly. It add expansion once a year.

And lol at @LatinLegacy yeah, we should look forward to content that was showcased over a year ago just because they re-release the same trailer?
My god, the game is barely 18 months old and they are already doing re-runs of lies they already told us!
This is something to get excited about?
No, its something to get angry about.
