Auction House

We definitely needs something better than the chat spam. Currently we obviously do not. An auction house sounds good to me but anything better than the current chat selling would make me happy.

I do not want a auction house I am making money as it from the guild stores than you. A auction house would just ruin my income.

A global AH will NOT in any way stop chat spam. Rift, WoW, Eve, etc all have global AH and ALL have non-stop chat spam wanting to sell or buy crap, all day long every day.

Similar to what others have already said, I'm not exactly asking for an AH. But I am hoping the powers that be address this matter in some way. I enjoy crafting so I spend a lot of time looking in every nook and cranny, opening each sack and drawer. So naturally I am on my own most of the time. Being a rather quiet player, it would be nice if I could sell all the stuff I find/make or buy the things I need without having to spam chat or join a guild. I don't really feel comfortable shopping chat because I have no idea what anything is really worth!

it would be nice to have a seperate channel for trade so people that don't want to see it can turn it off or put it in a different tab

Use an anti-spam filter (I use the X4D one) and add WTS, WTB, wts, wtb to the custom filters list. No more annoying sales.

Oh, and no for 2 reasons. Firstly, its functionally unworkable within a single server environment with potentially multiple millions of items on sale. And secondly it simply hides an underlying conceptual issue with how the guild system has been created.

IMO, ZoS needs to create 2 different types of guilds. Normal player 'gaming' ones, that can keep the store if they want. And add Trading Houses - either player or NPC run - that can be joined, have a much larger cap (say 2000-5000 instead of 500) that will allow trader type players to do what they want and takes the competitive player market element away from gaming guilds, which was a silly place to put it in the first place (like others, I have a real issue with 'selling' to guildies)

Even if there was an AH , you would still see WTB/S spam o.O

edit : and AH's are too easy a way for a select few to control the market, esp on a megaserver

^ 1000 times. I can just about guarantee this is the reason for all the whining about no global AH, because a 'select few' are pissed that they can't personally control server pricing.

No auction house is my vote. I like that the in game selling through chat and guilds encourages more social interaction imo (i'm probably one of the few that doesn't mind people selling through chat, i've done it plenty and made some in game friends that way). And there are online auctions if you really want em. I was pro AH at first because I was used to it from other MMOs, but I like not having it now.

    Hello Everyone,

I am quite new to this game as I am only level 40 with my very first character and therefore have limited time with this online. I am a former player of Skyrim and therefore know about the game in some way. I am playing on Xbox EU for anyone asking.

Even though I have very limited time with the game, I have been a part of a few major guilds with 400+ members, and to say the least my experiences have been... Non enjoying.I know the game is rather new to consoles and there is no stable market yet, but people just seems unreasonable pricing their useless stuff in the guild stores. I have been checking everyday for a week now, and I only rarely find anything good a reasonable price to buy. It should be said that I am mainly using the Guild Stores for blacksmithing stuff which I am level 41 now.

    My struggle

As I am playing on a console I do not have access to add-ons or any software that can help me scan through prices on a various of guild stores or generate average prices, and therefore it is annoying that I can only access 5 guilds. 5 Guilds just don't cut it with the stupidity that lives among these guilds. I understand that players would want to make a penny but for everyone who is experiencing the same as me, this must come to an end.

I have no idea how this guild store system works on PC but consoles do not have add-ons or any chat system to help us selling stuff in social places, and therefore we are in need of something smarter.

    My suggestion

I would suggest a Global Trade Center located in each of the capitals of the alliances. Here it would be possible to buy and sell items across all alliances at a slightly larger fee than if you were to use the Guild Store. The Global Trade Centers should be assigned to each server as well as player system. So for me I would only have access to the Xbox One EU Global Trade Center, this should be to make it equal for everyone within the same system.

The Guild Stores should still be in the game and would now function as "inside trading" like if you would be sure to help your clan mates out or just wanted to keep your buying/selling habits local.

This system would prevent people at ruining the stores with items listed at 350k or ridiculous prices. Let the market be controlled by real demand and supply. Nothing really to be lost here. Its a supplement to what is already there and would just work as a Global Guild Store to be fair, so I don't see much development going into this system.

Let me hear your thoughts, especially for you PC gamers as you might have a different perspective than me. Also let me hear from every console gamers if this is something you would like or not.

    Good evening
    - Lj

    We HAVE an auction house.

Go to the bank, click on the banker, go to [Guild Store]. You have up to 5 different ones to choose from.

I love what the current system provides in the sense of this game. A global AH would be a hassle and deals would be harder to find. But if you are just competing with the people you see around you at a kiosk then that changes everything

I really like this more local set-up. With (e.g.) WoW the inflation was huge and there was no posibility to become a trader, except for the real economy nerds.
Now I can switch between my 5 guilds looking for something nice and the lowest prices. I can even search for a guild mate in the 4 other AH's and provide them with this material. As a player your really need to network and socialize in order to get the better gear.

^ - this needs to be improved for the PS4, as there is no general chat only local mic conversation. And the search options in the Guild Store is far too minimal.

"You don't necessarily want to do a global auction house for a game with one giant server because that generally leads to all the best gear being available at very, very cheap prices," Gameplay Designer Nick Konkle told Shoddycast last fall (via Massively). "A lot of times that can trivialize the game. You cannot have a healthy economy when there are no restrictions on getting the best stuff in the game."
This is a quote from the development team.

Bah .... the way the game is now, it is a huge hassle to do anything. I really detest Zenimax for not putting in an auction house. I am earning a ton just by selling in trading guilds ....but I rather have an auction house, to get rid of the damn hassle. it would also make it much easier for low levels and new players to earn honest money.

All the good trading guilds are veterans only and a lot of them require 2k + donations a week. The low levels and new players wouldn't be tricked into selling their goods for much lower prices to veterans, once they see what the real value of their goods are..... such as flowers, raw materials etc.

I donate 50k to each trading guild I am in, because the guilds are overbidding each week to keep their damn good selling trader - because they are in competition with other guilds. The system is so broken, everyone in a guild can see what you bid in your own guild, but you can not see what others have bid to the individual trader that you are bidding to. And yes, this makes it easy to spy on guilds.

That does seem like a messed up system, I've been looking at offline auction houses recently. I'll post on here I I find a good one. If anyone has a good suggestion pm me or post on here
