FTC is one of the addons that makes you see your actual damage as well as monsters actual health. You can use it to solve your problem.

I still like not having UI spam. I love the min UI of ESO. ZOS have to keep it clean, not 10,000 numbers floating and blocking the sun.

People are gonna come here to troll you for not posting this In already made thread. What's the point, this thread is already made and it's not like the Internet is running out of room.

But I do agree with you that we should at least have a toggle for damage numbers that's already in game so we don't have to wait for dlc/add on for consoles.

Wow thanks for that very insightful thought, maybe next time actually try making a beneficial post? Thanks

That's what options are for. Same argument was made when chat bubbles were implemented... no one was hurt. :)

@Reventado420 , they had these back in beta and removed them :(. Take a gander... http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/183978/i-went-on-an-archaeology-expedition-on-my-hard-drive-and-found-the-long-lost-oft-demanded-true-ui

Exploits suck. Don't blame just the game, blame the players abusing them!

If he would be on console im sure he would state it in his post. It would take him literally 5 seconds to type "im a console player".

Doesn't have to be floating numbers, they could just make a combat log. Those numbers are really handy to have to refine peoples builds for end game content. Just imagine getting constantly stomped out by a boss and having no idea why.

And yet people come here and ask that chat bubbles be on by default...

I had to disable FTC because it was conflicting with another addon, and then CombatAnalytics started giving me UI errors on some characters (very inconvenient when it happens in Sanctum Ophidia), so I've been running without a damage meter on half my toons and stuff still ends up dead.

Any FTC users willing to give me feedback on it compared to Combat Cloud. Combat Cloud has need great so far but I would like to see health bar numbers on mobs. Better to just run two addons or dump combat cloud for FTC?

FTC is the best out there in my opinion.

Just like most things, it COULD be abused by a butt hole.

I've had a lot of fun in past games with friends, trying to see who could put out the most DPS on a boss. Without an addon like recount there is no way to tell.

The trouble with shearing damage number is jerks. If you not like us with an uber powerful cookie cutter build, than auto kick form the group. I seen that happen many times before in other MMOs. It is best NOT get the train started and do NOT share DPS information with others.

DPS meters = jerks / elitist players = toxic community

    This old argument again.

Best thing about MMOs is that the community can break itself into subcommunities as well. You don't want to play with elitist jerks??? Good news!! You don't have to!!!

You can just as easily find like-minded people, join their guild, start your own guild, etc. That's the beauty of MMOs - Choice.

Why should I get useful tools taken away from me because you're afraid someone is going to hurt your feelings by not wanting to carry you through a raid?

I looking over all health of the ESO communally. What do I have to have tools that make people more jerk like like DPS meters to make you happy? Over all, NOT having DPS meters in game by default will encourage to work with each other more. DPS meters do NOT encourage such behavior, in fact it does the opposite -- they discourage people more then help communally at large. All based on random numbers.

Don't dismiss my points because they are old -- you are the one bring up an old request begin with. I like ESO because it is not a clone of other games. It is own game.

Standard MMO = WoW clone. Who wants to play yet another WoW clone anyways? Certainly not I.

DPS meters are extremely helpful. If see someone of the same class doing much better DPS than I am, I usually ask questions about their build/gear/rotation to see where I can improve. Likewise, if I see someone doing worse DPS, I try to help them out.

DPS meters don't make poeple mean and elitist. They are going to act like that anyway. The tools are not the cause of that.

EDIT: I understand where you are coming from though. I played WoW for a while, and there was kind of an epidemic of people needing a certain achievement and things like that for an invite to even a basic dungeon.

Console player here, and as nice as it might be to have numbers I am glad they are not there. For me it would break the familiar feel of Elder Scrolls (subjective opinion here). I have no problem with numbers besides that, though, and I liked the feedback in Destiny. Seeing a monster's health info would be overkill, though.

I'm not sure how new the feature is, but there is a death recap damage listing on consoles. I wouldn't complain if there was a menu option that showed such a recap with all numbers for both you and the mob/boss. That would meet the needs for people testing out builds while keeping my UI clean.
