basically you betray no body because tiber septim is gonna finish them all..so it does not really matter what you do.
and that is my problem with the game..the entire time line of the game( end of second era) is wrong and we already know what is gonna happen not just to factions but also major characters like mad god and king of worms(ES oblivion)..so basically gold and silver are just put in the game to increase the play time and that is it.

Yep, this game really should have been set in the future, not the past. My suspicion is that Bethesda wasn't willing to sign off on that though so that they can keep making TES single player games without having to take into consideration anything at all from ESO.

Water is made of memory, the land is remembering a tumultuous time but gets the details wrong...That's generally how I make peace with the game.
It's a stupid game mechanic, IMO, and I refused to participate in it.
Once I beat Molag Bol, Sir Pot-on-Head invited me to become some nobody to fight against the folks I'd spent all that time championing.
I invited him to pound sand, logged off, and created an alternate character.

Its hard to get people to group with you there for some reason, though they love to gather in the city and bounce around showing off their armor and pets and mounts, etc. (and many of them do look great!)
I wish we were given one of two things:
1. A drop down of options as to where you wind up.
2.The ability to go to any area on the map you would like to go.Open it up,period.
(I wonder what happens if you decline the offer.)

That's so funny since I'm DC and feel the same way about AD.But yes, I really wish there were a way to answer Cadwell with, "No! I have ZERO desire to see how it would be for the other side! Back to Coldharbor with you, ya nut!"

I wished for this also. I have, since, taken up the challenge and am in my final Gold zone... but it has felt uncomfortable, forced... contrived since I left Coldharbour. I truly wish that you were offered an option after completing the main quest of either (in reverse order of preference):
1) Choose to go on Silver & Gold but with the chance to choose which you went to first.
2) A completely open map.
3) The ability to stay in your own faction and assist the people there with their calamities and, possibly, the war effort.
Any of the above solutions would be better than the railroading we have at the moment.

If "end game content" is going to consist, even in part, of doing quests then they need to get their writers to work and start developing NEW quests that DON'T make you go on to betray your own faction in some strange alternate universe that is supposed to do...what? Make your character grow as a person? LOL

AddingMost of the people against it were going to have 1 character in each faction anyways.
Most of the people who are for it don't want a character in every faction.
Agreed, that seems to be the general breakdown of opinion. And the easiest solution to both sides is to stop it from seeming forced upon you and to make it truly optional, which I think they will achieve when they remove Veteran Ranks.

I don't think that would be such an issue if you didn't have to do any of the quests to gain access to the last set of zones. I'd rather they didn't remove 172 skyshards from the game (and they can't redistribute them because then there would be too many in one zone).NewBlacksmurf wrote: »AddingMost of the people against it were going to have 1 character in each faction anyways.
