Soul Harvest Ultimate Bug?

Hey,

I recently respecced my Nightblade on the PS4. I have Soul Harvest on one bar (dual wield) and Veil of Blades on the other (bow).

After I use my Ultimate (any) it will not recharge anymore UNLESS I hit an enemy with and only with a basic attack (no skills trigger the recharge). Once I used a basic attack it then will charge from all other Skills and from enemy deaths as Soul Harvest should do according to its description.

I didn't have this issue before I respecced. (before I had only specced into Veil of Blades.

Now, I am fairly new to this game. Is this intended and I just didn't realise before. Or is this a bug?

    Yes there is a bug. The part about it not recharging when you get a kill with it may be intended though.

    The bug is that Soul Harvest does not receive ult gain from Combat Frenzy when making a kill.

    There were a lot of changes to Ultimate Generation with 1.6. Problem is, a number of websites still have hte old information on Ult Gen. It used to gain pretty much by being in the game, now it is mostly Light or Heavy Attacks.

    Also, the Ultimate gain from Light and Heavy is over time, so while you might think it is gaining from other things after a light attack, it may just be proccing the gain over time and that is what your seeing. There are some skills and passives that also generate Ultimate.

    I wouldnt use that ult anyway pve yeh but in pvp its useless as you can roll past it

    PvP it's a must have like cloak for a burst NB. You hit them on the opener or the fear so that can't dodge. 16.5k? Come on, it's amazing.

    What else is useless in PvP? Sounds like everything except heavy resto and concealed weapon

    Yeah soul harvest is a must have slot for magicka melee nightblade on your melee bar. Only 50 ultimate, charges fast and the 20% damage boost is really nice as well. I wish I was getting 16.5k on my soul harvest though. For magicka (2400 spell power/2800 buffed) it only hits for 6 to 8 k depending on your target. I've never had it crit for more than 11k on a squishy player. Must be better for stam players but I still wouldn't trade it away.
