Where did all the people go?

Yesterday I played all day.
ESO is no longer the busy bee hive it used to be.
I mean now you can walk for 1 hour in the open and you will be lucky to come accross 6 people.
All this grinding for hours to get crafting parts to craft weapons and armour reminds me of Destiny and makes me miss it.
Backwards compatiblity will be with us console users very soon, so many games and so little time...

Its been so long since PC users had any new content its no surprise the place is semi deserted. Wait till they put out something new people will come flocking back.

There's most definitely going to be a drop in the playerbase BUT I'd say most probably moved to the next zone, there's been a bit of shifting going on. I noticed just the other day how packed Mournhold was and now even Stormhold.

NA Aldmeri Dominion on Ps4 here. I can already see a noticeable drop in players as well. At least it sure seems like it.

Unless it's 3am in the morning this isn't an issue I have and if the problem is there I don't see it a problem. If some random zone isn't that populated it just means not very many people are questing and are grinding or off doing something else. Questing is more of a solo thing, so this really doesn't hurt anything IMO.

Maybe a suggestion to ZOS: place bigger events (like Dolmens) in the game that bring more players together in a zone?

Yes there is a lot of game franchises where people only play the game for new game content then once they have compleated it they play something new.
I'm thinking
1. Mass Effect
2. Borderlands
3. Destiny
4. GTA 5
5. Halo
6. Dying light
They all suffer from game drop off until the next big dlc.

These are either very large Guilds that suport everyone with the one misions
or
It's people who want to play the game until they compleat the campain.
I don't think anyone plays anygame to get all the acheivments anymore.

You'd be surprised. This game has its share of achievement hunters, going by discussions on the forum.

The internet never sleeps
When australians wake up all the USA is going to bed.
When australians goto bed all the USA is waking up.
The English and Africia fillin the times when people are normaly at work or in school.
I'm on goverment payments so I play 12 to 15 hours per day.
The dropoff has been all day yesterday.
Australia kids have school holidays soon but that's when Backwards compatibility comes out for Xbox both consoles and PC.
I'm personaly looking forward to playing a game with xbox 360 xbox one and PC player all in the one game on the same server.

I still see "dead" people. Probably less but I haven't had a Q in over a week. Maybe the made the mega server bigger .. don't know.

ESO isn't cross-platform, and won't be.

I'm not complaining I'm just voicing that ESO is having a drop off in people.
Reminds me of the game is now settling down after the big rush.

I'm taking a break to play the final fantasy xiv expansion. I still log in everyday to do my dailies and train my mount on all characters.
ESO is just a game I'm playing casually and I enjoy it more by doing so.
I love me some ESO but I need some "time out from tamriel"

Don't worry though more people will start pouring in with each major update.

The next zone is Backwards compatibiblty for all thing Microsoft.
I wonder how many people are going to jump back on older games.
Buying older xbox 360 games is getting had to do as most retailers have been scaling back xbox 360 sales for months now.

On PS4 all my ESO friends are back to FF14 right now because the new expansion and some are playing batman.
The lack os incentive to group while leveling make then go away. But I'm still here addicted playing solo....

ESO did do a lot of work on there servers when the game first came out on consoles.
The game plays purfect for me now.
