I know I'm playing ESO, but I go all the way back to when I played UO and can't help but think if this game had some of what it had... I'd be in love with it. Tame monsters or what not to use as pets to help you fight like UO had, but those you could keep dragons and stuff inside your home though... I had a dragon in UO. But I'm not talking about dragons, I'm talking about every creature in this game being able to tame as your "pet" to help you fight. Because the pets we have now seem pretty useless, plus it's fun to go out, and play your guitar thing to put them in a trance, to then use your tame skill...
Personally, I don't see why not as a skill line somewhere down the road.
It's not like there aren't NPC Rangers in the game already.

If it was a skill line available to everyone, I will tell you exactly what would happen. Everyone and their dog, at first, would go out and find whatever to train and use as a pet, then we would have 10,000 times more annoying, flapping, screeching, pets in every bank and crafting area in every single zone. You wouldn't be able to get away from it.

So just make it temporary, long enough to use in a fight, say a minute or so, maybe with passives to take it up to 2 min.

I vote YES on the condition below......
That all vanity pets are removed from the game.... I would rather see everyone with 1 attack pet, than 3 vanity pets running around for everyone.....

The simplest solution, which wouldn't take them 5 minutes to do, is to ban all vanity pets and summons from banks, crafting areas, and other public places. Just like trying to ride your horse into a cave, as soon as you cross the threshold, it automatically gets put away and you can't call it while inside the structure.
