Basically I want to see how others feel. I tried playing ESO on XBox and have decided to stay with playing on PC. Please only answer if you have played both versions. Feel free to explain below. Thanks.

What I did not like about the consoles was the layout of the menus strayed too far from the PC game that I was used to and found them difficult to navigate. I also did not like the fact that there was not text chat option, and that the only way to communicate was through the voice channel. The graphics were fine and I didn't mind the controller layout.

PC for the Graphics. But anytime a game offers controller support I plug one in. Then PC becomes best graphics along with the best controls IMHO.

So much fail on consoles man. Camera positioning, Controls mapping, communication, UI frames positioning and lack of addon functionality I now take for granted on PC. All this combined and it's basically a deal breaker for me. I don't think I'll renew my PS+ sub next month.

    Controllers are hard. lol

Really, it's a whole bunch of reasons that ball up into staying on PC. I'm better with m/kb than with controller. The console isn't technically mine (BF), we only have one big TV and he likes to watch TV - so.. works better if I'm on PC. As well, I already have made plenty of friends on PC and find the voice chat only on consoles awkward and actually harder to socialize on (and you have to be completely anti-social if you want to hear NPC's during quests). I also feel like I have to click 20 times to do anything (like look at my character sheet). Oh - addons.

I'm sure most of these stem from me normally preferring PC anyways.. I'm sure anyone who regularly plays on consoles does not have these issues.

Really though, it is fun to play on console, and I have been playing on it a bit. I'm slowly getting better at the controls, the graphics really aren't THAT bad, and it's a good game either way.

I am finding the voice chat on the console very annoying. Yes, you can mute it, but with it being the ONLY way to communicate, you most times have to leave it on. Listening to eight year old screaming every thing they say or the people with Kinect mics picking up every noise just grates on me.

I prefer the controls on the console.
I prefer text chat and some other stuff, like inventory, on PC.

Over all, I will continue to play on console if ZOS is able to deliver and improves the console version.

Great summary of my reasons too and I could have written the exact same thing except in my case it's my Husband who wants to watch the big TV. My PC is MINE, the giant TV is OURS

Yes while I would prefer to have some of the functions PC addons give added to the console, the graphics are close enough not to be a deal breaker though of course I notice improvement on PC.
I do play the PS4 on one of my 30" PC monitors however.
Give them some time they will tweak the console UI a little I bet.
For some reason though, I have been having more fun on the console.

I personally prefer the console version basically because of the comfort difference. My 60 inch hdtv and my lazy boy doesn't get any better. I hate sitting in an office type setup to play video games. Plus the social aspect is better on console.

This isn't an issue for me because I have both my PC and XBox hooked up to the same TV

Console game's have always sucked the big one, don't know why anyone use's one ?

In fact I believe only people really using them are 12 or under so parents can stay at their PC 24/7.

Parents go outside with your kids, they will be much better off.

Console's have terrible graphic's compared to a PC.

I have met kids that were disgusting over mics but that is a small fraction compared to the people i have met.
in fact i am apart of the Hold Square Reapers and its a 21+ guild and we are a very large guild on the ps4 side.

I am tired of people like you spreading this kind of hate, we are all gamers and should work as one group to get a better game and never apart.

I love the even playing field that the console version presents, and also like the UI and controller support. The lack of communication is a HUGE issue for me though. I pre-ordered the PC version of the game and had been holding off on playing it because it was such a mess at release and I felt the game would be much more enjoyable with a controller. I am enjoying the game but I'm playing it on my PC. Hoping we get actual controller support sometime soon, and I'll be happy.

Controller support for the PC would be awesome as long as they went with the PC menus and not a menu system like the console version uses. That's just terrible in my opinion.

No text chat makes the console pointless for me as an mmo.

I am also in a great guild on the PC and love grouping up with them.

I never intended the console to be my main version, I only bought it due to it costing only £12.

There are some built in console things I prefer which are only available via addons on the PC, for example I like the way if I loot something it tells me how many I have in my bank/inv.

I surprisingly (bearing in mind I use a 12 button naga mouse and logitech G13 pad on PC) find the controller really comfortable and easy to use (PS4).

At the moment I'm playing PC version for group fun but I'm also playing the PS4 version as a solo game, comfortable in my armchair taking the time to read all quests, bits of paper I find etc and I'm really enjoying both

The only thing I hate on PS4 is the voice chat, I almost videoed myself in dagerfall earlier just to link to it to show how immersion breaking it is to have random screaming and swearing, but I suspect the link would have been deleted by the forum mods as it links to foul language, I hope the mods and Zenimax can see the irony there, a slight bad word, criticism of others and posts are removed, people are banned, but they are happy for far worse to be broadcast through my sound system to my entire family.

On the psn side ESO has 548,000 likes and a 5 star rating (got to own the game if you want to rate it) mm not sure about xbox.

Edit: Still want some of them addons imagine the numbers with abit of effort. :)
Really hope they have enough money now to hire back as well as new devs to pump content....
