I enjoyed my first playthough of ESO but I'm not blind to the obvious flaws. There hasn't really been a moment when I 'loved' ESO though, the sheer lack of content in the last few months have made me loath it if anything. You can only make so many alts before the idea of repeating the same old quests makes your eyes bleed. The game has so much potential, I'm just hoping the ship hasn't already sailed sort of thing.

... As a programmer, I greatly appreciate all the work that has been put into this game. I appreciate the fact that they are maintaining the software and improving upon it.

Then I'm sure - as the programmer you are - that you'll also appreciate that this is their job?

I always think it's cute how people want to get praised and rewarded for simply doing those things that they're getting paid to do in the first place.

So iv been reading over some posts on th fourms and seeing alot of mixed opinions on diffrent aspects of the game and i realized it must SUCK to be a dev. I could not put so much work into something and then see so many people trash it. I realize the devs cant make everyone happy, whats great about the game for some players is the same thing thats wrong to another playerYou cant ever please everyone. I just wanna say I LOVE THIS GAME .

I loved this game when it launched (PC), came in the door starved for a new great MMO. I thought MMO + TES storyline would equate to one of the best possible MMO's there was. Quite a lot has happened since.

I still like the game, I simply believe it can be more/better.
If options weren't necessary, and everyone played the same way, no one would use addons. Fix the UI!

I love the game. There has been a couple of bugs I've encountered - but generally they have been fixed fairly quickly - and I've had nothing game breaking. If anything does happen (Normally my fault, actually), the Customer Service team is always ready to help. They even noticed that some of my gold went missing in the console transfer and refunded me, without me even noticing! But beyond the very few problems I've had, the game itself is fantastic. IT feels like both an elder scrolls game, and and MMO. I love that the world is becoming much more interactive - being able to pick up weapons from tables, was the first thing they added in this regard. These are a few of my favourite things:
    1. PvP. I've only been in cyrodiil recently, on PC, in the non-veteran zone. But joining a group that is besieging a fortress is a great feeling.
    2. Crafting. I love the subtleties of crafting - The style/trait/material aspects all being required to be learned separately is much more interesting than the Skyrim system. If only there wasn't so many trait stones filling up my bank! I'm looking forwards to spellcrafting!
    3. My Guar Mount. Bought with the crowns I got for subscribing to ESO near the start, I can't imagine that I'll ever trade my Guar for any other kind of mount. No, not even Bear Mounts.
    4. While some of the NPCs are less fleshed out than in skyrim, many of the quest characters are interesting personalities and stories behind their quests (both on major and minor quests). I met one guy who had murdered his girlfriend's family because he loved her so much...

I don't love Zenimax Online Studios. Communication is poor, on all but a few select things. They make the user base feel ignored. Even if they aren't actually being ignored - there is very little acknowledgment of anything being done in response.
I can give examples of issues:
    1. This current PS4 download issue. Nowhere in the patch notes did it say that the patch would also contain all the previous patches again. There was a brief post by one of the ZOS staff in the forums about this being the case - and a promise of more information later. That post came... and said nothing. Something along the lines of "We know 15GB is not ideal". No recommendations about to make the incredibly slow download go faster, either.
    2. AMAs. These are probably the best source of information right now. But... they are held on Reddit? Or Twitch? Admittedly we can post questions here for the twitch one, But none of them take place on the
    3. No Content Updates for six months. At launch, ZOS claimed they were aiming at a major update every 1.5 months. They pretty much managed this... for four updates. Since then it is claimed that the console release has been taking all of the time. But... uhh... what were the artists doing in this time? The Level Designers? I can't imagine much in the Dark Brotherhood questline that will require much more coding. And Wrothgar... that should basically be all level design and art, right? Imperial city sounds like it's probably more complicated in terms of code, and so does spellcrafting - but I don't believe that they couldn't come up with anything at all... Speaking of which:
    4. The Road Ahead. The monthly communication letter telling us what people were working on. Haven't seen that in a while. February was the last one, and it announced Free-To-Play, Crown Store, and Console releases. There wasn't one in January. The closest we've come is the E3 Demo last week... which showed nothing we didn't already know about...
    5. In the UK, ESO+ costs more on the PSN than it does on PC or Xbox Marketplace... what?
The ZOS staff on the forums are great people- and the ESO Live episdoes can be fun to watch - but they are very selective in what they reply to. Even when replying to one part of a post, they often reply only to part of the post. I imagine a response to this post could be "Glad you love the game, and the Guar! Lookout for a new patterned guar coming Soon(tm) on the Crown Store!" And I guess that this is because there is only so much there are allowed to say. In fact, most of these things would be minor issues on their own - and people would probably complain less if reasons were given - But together they suggest that Zenimax has not yet figured out Customer Relations.
