Bow might be easier for a newer player since the ranged attack allows for more time to adjust to how mobs respond. Both skill lines are great for NBs, though.

And something to consider: as long as you have a skill from a particular tree on your bar, it will level up as you gain experience even if the skill isn't used. That allows players to level up a second weapon while at low level so that they can more effectively use weapon swap at level 15.
