I understand you might be busy actually trying to "fix the game" and all, but we have been here asking for answers/clarification on several issues!
Be it group finder being broken {on console without a chat box this MUST work}.
Then we have invisible NPC's where we have to exit the game entirely just to continue our quest.
Invisible mobs that are annoying as all -blank- <
Voice chat seems to work when it wants to.
Character creation screen not zooming in. I know you said to make another character as a work around but hey..

There are a few more I am sure of, but I am on my first cup of coffee..

My question is WHY have we not had very fluid reactions from your staff.. This kind of thing creates an US vrs THEM relationship with your player base and it is not a good thing to see from such a GREAT game. I know MMO launches are not perfect, but at least the DEV interaction Should be on par with other gaming companies! I mean the least anyone could do is throw us an update as they were on their way to the water cooler or coffee machine. Heck we wouldn't mind if you did it wile going to the bathroom Anything would be better than what we have had.

Honestly scares me to death without any word from you guys before hand that it might be in a future patch. Then if you read that full thread you will see people saying ESO was an inside job and that someone is trying to "Tank the game" <<<That is what not talking to the community opens the door for!!!

I understand ZOS is under a lot of stress right now we all get that. When we "your fans"see other games come out like Never Winter with very few problems and the ones that it did have were openly talked about by the devs then we expect to see it from in a game that we have waited YEARS for!

Again I did not make this as a "Lets all grab hammers and aim for employee nuts here" I just want you fine folks at ZOS to understand the we your fans are getting frustrated with the no communication on YOUR end more than we are with the game having issues!

    It 's a frustration of most players now, and this topic has been told hundreds of times before already. So it's clearly it is becoming a problem. I really hope they have some announcements soon, doesn't have to be content right away, just an announcement or some information with be good enough to ease the players.

    However, as they said, they were going to do so after E3, so I suspect we'll have it between this and a month. Hopefully ... 'fingers crossed'

    Good thread OP, my hats off to you. I would only add one thing, don't do it on video on Twitch. We need answers on both side's. But we need it in the written word.

    Like you say, it takes 2 mins to reply to some questions concerns, with text chat we want an answer, ideally, "we will add it the future" or although I wouldn't want this "text chat wont be added" as it stands they are leaving both parties in the dark.
    Tell us one way or the other, let the few who would quit over this do so, and the rest will adapt with or without it. But please let us know what is going on...

    If you dont do your homework, you would think the community is being ignored. I could tell you that all of these posts in this thread have been either address directly or talked about in some venue that you didnt know what taking place. I could do that then you would all ask for links to where i have seen these answers, but then that wouldnt really teach you guys a lesson would it =P

    text chat? blues posts on these very forums talk about this, maybe not in great detail, but they are by no means ignoring it. You just think that because well... you didnt do your homework

    dont think you will ever be shown the inside workings of a company. They have reps on these forums but are at a number disadvantage by around 5000/1. This is a widely guess estimate though so dont think to much on the numbers as much as the process itself.

    If you want results, stop demanding answers like they owe you something and let the men and ladies do what they get paid to do. There is one thing I would bet my life on, and that would be: They are NOT all just sitting around laughing at you becuase they took your money like you think they did. This makes me feel like (dont take this in any negitive light or take offense) you dont have any experience in the inner workings of a big business. Things are slow, well planned out (most of the time too much planned out) and they dont just throw crap around everyday. There are plans and process that much be followed.

    Have patience my friends, act like you played a game before, and remember, if you cannot find the joy in the simple tasks of this game for the love of playing, then why even waste your time? Did you complain to much when Bowser didnt let you take the princess from the first 7 castles? Didnt think so. ;)

    So you feel that it is the players fault for expecting to see these "Answers" on the OFFICIAL Game website or forums? What other company practices this kind of Hide and seek communication with the player base?

    Again I understand that the answers are out there...............

    If you look at the announcements on the ESO launcher that haven't been updated in 33 days.

    33 days.

    Something EVERY player sees that plays the game.

    Not updated in 33 days.

    I think that's the most telling of it all.

    Indeed there was a house cleaning at ZOS a few months ago...

    But they still pushed through to console release...
    I think the player base would be okay with a statement saying that they only had 3 people working on the patch to implement these changes that are needed..

    We just would like to know the direction they are headed is all.

    The "but they are a business" excuse is such a pet peeve of mine. Businesses make poor decisions all the time. They are made by normal people who make mistakes. ZOS has just made a lot of bad decisions.

    I get that the devs themselves probably work hard, but the if the people who make the decisions are making them work hard on the wrong things.....the effort won't show.


    And please don't try to say they have had fine communication with the playerbase. That is false.

    As for the whole UI conspiracy that is now emerging on the forums, people just want more customization and options. And it's frustrating to see that this could have been in the game or was planned on then withheld. But once again scratching my head. Why would ZOS leave it in the code for someone to find? Must have been a mistake? Or it's laying dormant for a future patch?

    They talked to us on Friday evening, as they do every other week. They answered a load of questions as they always do. It's fine that people choose not to watch ESO Live, but they shouldn't make that choice and then complain that ZOS never talk to them.

    welcome to ESO @Ace-2112 . They ALWAYS cherry pick their questions that they answer. They will NEVER answer any question that is a REAL (by real I mean needs some serious answers to it) questions. It usually is the stupidest questions that they choose to answer. Oh, did I say welcome to eso yet?! Stick around for a bit, then you will REALLY see how screwed everything is!

    They aren't going to answer all of your questions every week, but if you pose a question on the official thread then there's a decent chance it'll get answered. If you don't pose it, there's an even better chance that it won't get answered! Have you asked your questions there?

    So they accomplish in 90 minutes once every other week what could be accomplished in a 2 paragraph forum post, and we should be thanking them? Info about patches and minor bug fixes don't merit a 90 minute show.

    I'd like them to discuss EXACTLY what is being done to fix performance in Cyrodil. Where EXACTLY they are at in development of new content (from E3 2014 lol), and things that people actually want to hear about. I'm sure console folks would like more explanation about not having text chat. There's so many possible topics that it's insulting that they spend 90 minutes talking about anything else.

    The medium that offer the most ease of access, especially after the fact, and that offers the most accountability is direct contact via the Game's Offical Forum.

    Which is presumably why ESO opt for the gimmick of video - make it like the game - all style, no substance.

    I'm not a gopher. ESO has its own website and forums. I shouldn't have to go to FB, Reddit, Twitch, Twitter, Dev's grandma's house....to get answers.

    There has been thread after thread after thread about the pitiful XP gain in Craglorn for VRs(for example)....and where did ZOS finally answer to it???, on Reddit. That is [snip] poor communication to their community no matter what excuse fanboys players attempt to give them.

    These forums, Road Ahead, Dev Tracker...should be the first and foremost communication tools used, everywhere else should come in second.

    If options weren't necessary, and everyone played the same way, no one would use addons. Fix the UI!

    They aren't going to answer all of your questions every week, but if you pose a question on the official thread then there's a decent chance it'll get answered. If you don't pose it, there's an even better chance that it won't get answered! Have you asked your questions there?

    Of course they will cherry-pick the questions that they answer, I don't know any developer than wouldn't do that. But then I don't know any other developer that addresses the community live every other week so I think we should give them credit for that at least.

    So they accomplish in 90 minutes once every other week what could be accomplished in a 2 paragraph forum post, and we should be thanking them? Info about patches and minor bug fixes don't merit a 90 minute show.

    I'd like them to discuss EXACTLY what is being done to fix performance in Cyrodil. Where EXACTLY they are at in development of new content (from E3 2014 lol), and things that people actually want to hear about. I'm sure console folks would like more explanation about not having text chat. There's so many possible topics that it's insulting that they spend 90 minutes talking about anything else.

    They have already discussed those things here. I take it people know about Dev Tracker and the Known Issues threads (specific to each version)?

    Honest question: Can you point me to any response about Cyrodil performance, because the latest solution I heard from a dev was them telling us to spread out.
