Would you pay for high quality content?

Would you pay for high quality quests? With story and plot elements often used by novel writers? If you were given a monthly fee for these quests, would you pay? I have a plan for something that would do exactly this, even though I am just a player without any connection to Zenimax or Bethesda developers. I just need some information from this poll before I can get into it.

Correction: *If Zenimax cut back on other costs.

I did for over a year. I'll pay for what they make AFTER they make it. That's what ZOS wants. Fine. Let's do it that way.

And yes, I'm bitter about it.

@Firellight you could give a little more detail in how it will be different from the upcoming DLC's they have been promising, and why exactly it should come at a cost to Plus membership that some feel isnt even worth the cost now

I'm confused. I'm paying a monthly fee. Although im a console player (feel for you PC peeps on lack of content, while zos trolled you I was trolled by destiny for 7 months), I believe that fee is for new content, am I right?

Pc people have had a drought In content for months. But now the game is released on console (running really good for me, invis npc is all the issues I really have seen) and getting ironed out. The big overhaul of the game is complete(using the term loosely) more content on the horizon I saw with a video. Old,video I have heard, but now there plate seems to be cleaner then ever before with the releases done and big changing of the game complete. I'm hoping they will flood is with dlc as that most likely is their main focus now? Any PC players have hope for this? I'm loving the game but have read alot of your threads. I don't wether to prepare for alot of dlc or a little. I haven't had much dealings with ZOS so far but from what I have seen they seem like good peoples.

Lol, sorry I'm ramblin. Just got off n blazed hahaha

Yes. Even when I use the subscription model, I wouldn't mind at all to pay for new zones, questlines, NPC guilds, events like arena/dungeon, etc. Everything they have done is very good.

We have got 2 new zones coming after a year of ZoS publishing info about them. That's fine, but release them! If paying for zones helps releasing more zones, faster. Then sure!

Not rambling at all. Very excited about console launch here and the more players across all platforms, the greater the success, the more content we have to look forward to!

I see some great times ahead with DLC's. Of course everyone will never be happy as you can't be all things for all people, but I'm pleased with the direction personally.

I feel with console ZOS lived up to its promise. Yeah, its a year late. But honestly....THANK FREAKING BABY JESUS. Console players are very lucky in which state this game was given to us. I do feel bad for the PC players. You guys had some rough times, n ill dedicate the next 420 to you guys lol. But it seems the game IS stable. Regardless of the champion point system in which I know nothing about, the game is finished. So now, really its either DLCs or fixes you guys have been asking for forever, I mean what else do they have to do...make eso 2? LoL.

I think ladies and gentleman, the future of ESO will be alot of add ons, making eso plus more worthwhile. I think they will pump out add ons. Yes the crown store will probably be the first, but any progress is good progress, amiright?

Since the feedback has been great so far, I can share my idea. Imagine this: a monthly contest (run by the community) that rewards cash to awesome content submissions, be they quests, outfit designs, fanfiction for books, etc. Anything to help ZOS with the non-technical parts of development, since the idea and planning phases can be brutal. We can use Patreon as a way to fund the projects. Also any people who didn't make it could get monetary funds through a percentage of total likes from all the submissions. So if you had 25 likes on a submission, and it was 1% of the funds for that month (5k?) you could get $50! The best submissions would be those with each step detailed, with dialogue options and objectives. Lore would also be a factor for the contest. All ZOS would have to do is code the stuff in and voice act the quests; we can even have people provide voices.

I don't know about you, but I see a lot of potential in a suggestion community, and if there are monetization opportunities, talented people would commit to writing TES literature.

WAIT! You actually want them to release them faster?

Have you played this game at all? I want them to take their time on new content and try and release them with as few bugs as possible! PERIOD!!

To add to my post above, a suggestion community would take help the creative department for ESO by allowing them to handle bugs etc. Consider ZOS' job fulfilled with the main quest, and any new DLC would be community-based.

Frankly, the game is superb. I am still going back to it every day that I can (acts of supernatural nature notwithstanding), but the way that we have been treated by ZOS isn't just bad. It is howlingly bad. I worked in the customer satisfaction/insight industry for two long years, with several major companies that have very recognisable brands, doing primary analysis of customer feedback and if those companies had done some of the things that ZOS have done? They would expect a kicking for it.

I don't know sir(?). While I <3 the idea of community created content it would depend greatly what it was and how much it entailed vs cost effectiveness to create while still being priced at what players are willing to spend (community voiced is a cool idea too btw)

You have "F2P all the way!" as a choice except ESO isn't (right now) and to the best of our knowledge at this time, we will be purchasing future zones and content if we want to play them or sub'ing to lease their use, so I was a bit confused if you thought that ESO "as is" was all there was to be.

Either way, it couldn't hurt to submit your ideas to ZOS. (Does console allow for in game feedback?) or maybe support here through forums? I'm not sure which platform you play. Maybe even messaging a forum MOD about it directly as the forum would need to be involved. They would likely enjoy it more than "flying dragon mounts" or "auction house" feedback ;)
