    @Gidorick

    He commented later:
"Since the feedback has been great so far, I can share my idea. Imagine this: a monthly contest (run by the community) that rewards cash to awesome content submissions, be they quests, outfit designs, fanfiction for books, etc. Anything to help ZOS with the non-technical parts of development, since the idea and planning phases can be brutal. We can use Patreon as a way to fund the projects. Also any people who didn't make it could get monetary funds through a percentage of total likes from all the submissions. So if you had 25 likes on a submission, and it was 1% of the funds for that month (5k?) you could get $50! The best submissions would be those with each step detailed, with dialogue options and objectives. Lore would also be a factor for the contest. All ZOS would have to do is code the stuff in and voice act the quests; we can even have people provide voices.

I don't know about you, but I see a lot of potential in a suggestion community, and if there are monetization opportunities, talented people would commit to writing TES literature."

If that had been in the OP, I think most of the comments would be quite different :)
If options weren't necessary, and everyone played the same way, no one would use addons. Fix the UI!

I think they do in fact owe us some Grade A content, seeing how the "ESO plus" is supposed to include the extra expansions to the game for free, but by the time the release those the cost of ESO plus will heavily outweigh the cost of the expansion, I am sure. Not that I really mind, I just want them to update the game because it is super boring doing the same stuff over and over..

So....drop your sub until three's something worth paying for. This is the business model ZoS wants.

I was paying my sub quarterly, and it renewed just before ESO went to ESOTU. So everything said and done, I have over 4000 crowns and nothing worthwhile to spend it on. I'm probably not the only PC player with a stockpile of crowns and nothing worth buying.

Using only the new business model (and ignoring the year I paid to beta test for the console players), ZoS owes me $40.00 (USD) worth of content. They get no more money from me until I see actual delivery on promises.

I think some of us have just started talking about our own thing @Psychobunni.

Maybe OP is thinking of trying to organize a Quest Guild with players playing NPCs and giving out quest info and whatnot. I've considered this type of thing but I don't think players should be trying to provide content that ZOS is unwilling to and unwilling to support.

Give us the Creation tools and watch the magic happen.

Maybe the op is thinking of charging for this "service".... I really don't think they will have much luck with that. I'm not even sure it would be within the TOS.

Any thread will go in different directions, it's the nature of a discussion. The original question was would players pay for high quality content. Understandably many people have said "been there, done that, and all I got was this lousy crown store."

I don't think the OPs idea of crowdsourced content, and a financial incentive to produce that content, is necessarily a bad idea, provided ZoS remains the arbiter of what is released in the game. What I do think is that the tools are not available to accomplish this, and given the lengths to which ZoS has gone to portray any game changes as monumental tasks, I doubt we'll see these tools available to the community.

    Thanks @Psychobunni.

@Firellight, I like the idea of community submitted ideas, but it really needs to be ran by ZOS. Something along the lines of regular contests for ideas. the top 5 or 10 ideas are chosen by ZOS and the winner is voted on by the community. This way ZOS can decide which submissions are appropriate for the game.

The thing is, I don't think story or quests is the bottleneck in the process. More than likely it's coding and actual content creation.
What ESO really needs is an Auction Horse.
    That's right... Horse.

the way eso is an atipical mmo, with a mix of pve and pvp, but i could not really enjoy pvp for lags, i will pay for a dedicated stremed working pvp. yes, this could be the case.

Really? Even in a game which not only adds voice acting requirements to the narrative planning, dialogue writing and possible creation of art and animation assets that quests usually require?

Interesting. So what do you consider content?

Of course, but pretty much everyone would. A lot of us though have already paid quite a bit of money to ZOS, and all we have gotten is dreadful Craglorn, a half-assed justice system, and a champion point system no one wanted.

Now that this famed console version is out, I am very curious to see what they can actually deliver, but based on past performance I do not have high hopes.
