@Methuselah - I'd like to take the opportunity to congratulate you on being one of the toughest Emperor groups to fight that I've ever seen.
Last night at Chalman, as much as I hated doing so, I took a step back when the lag fighting started. I know we could have dethroned you then, though it would not have been a respectable way to do so. There are some of your faction for whom I hold nothing but distaste and would not have hesitated to lag flip flags, though you've proven to be an honourable opponent and I would not support that type of win. The past 90 minutes fighting at BRK was the most fun I've had in a while, and when we finally dethroned you the satisfaction I felt after rallying AD for the past few days was greater than how I felt after achieving Emperor the past few times (after the first few times being crowned it's not as insanely awesome - but I hope you get my point).
I believe you've grown as a player since your first time being Emperor, and you've definitely helped me train up some of my newer (and long term) players on how to deal with a Sorc emp. I look forward to fighting you in future.. Hopefully with more even groups!

✭Great post Crown. That was easily the funniest fight I have been at. What I don't understand is there was a full raid of us, a raid of DC, and no offense but at least 40 AD. Why was there no lag?
Still can't believe it. That was why I love this game. Wish the sever could always perform like that. Zos I hope you were watching it or look at the film. Was spectacular to participate in that.0 -

✭We had 18 in our group. I believe that DIG had 16, and there were another dozen or so randoms around us. The blues seemed to have about 20 ish. I believe you guys (reds) had 30 ish including randoms (@Methuselah counting for 20 on his own is not included in that number ;-)
With the amount of fighting going on including AoE healing and DPS, the lack of lag was refreshing.
Of course that had to be balanced by this evening's reds bringing three full groups to Alessia and then Roe in order to crown your current Emperor. My group had 17, and there were another 10-15 randoms defending with us. The lag fight on the flag was ridiculous. I was the last one left alive and it took about 40 seconds to kill me - not because of anything I did, just the lag from all the reds there.
Incidentally the hate whispers from reds following that lag fight calling me an exploiter for staying alive so long and blaming me for the lag was also rather ridiculous. Thanks to him leaving campaign I got Emperor Assassin by owning next in line EP Emperor!
Only V3 and hardly do enough damage to other Emperors to get the achievement, but this guy...

Quick fact.
Those top 3 people on EP earn 300k+ AP a day. (1,600,000/5), 1600000 in 5 days.
The guy behind Meth was only 200k behind him at the time and at a point they were 10k apart from each other. If Meth wanted the guy in 2nd to be emperor to 'have fun', all he had to do was go guest on Chillrend for a day.
I know all about that Chillrend Azura Star EP alliance.
If only DC had a Chillrend Azura Star alliance...

I can understand that.. Keep in mind that I only control my own group. If there are two or three other groups in one place, it becomes a lag fight. Look at how red crowned yesterday with three full groups in one place. We couldn't do anything to stop it in the lag fighting with less than a full raid. Even two full raids would have probably failed vs their three.
If the emperor is someone who had previously spent more effort in a given hour harassing me and mine in whispers than playing the game, I would not have taken my group away. There are quite a few of those - unfortunately.
Do we cause lag? No. Definitively. I have taken my group away from lag fights many a time - and posted about it previously. Our general rule is if there's a lag fight and it's our home keep, we will stay. If it's not our home keep, we leave. Do we not participate in alleviating lag, sometimes.
