What to do after Cadwell's Gold?

I hit VR11 the other day after finishing Cadwell's Gold. I know what content exists in order to level to VR14, but I'm unsure what would be quickest/easiest. I'm a fan of PvE, but it seems like every method has its issues.
  1. Craglorn seems like a lot of fun to me. I've only been in Belkarth to shop at guild traders and maybe craft an item or two, but in this time I've never seen anyone advertising groups to go quest. Is finding a group difficult? It seems like Craglorn questing is very tedious and hard to sustain.
  2. Cyrodiil PvE is what I've been doing so far. Even though I realize the quest hubs have dailies, I've been trying to do each quest once so that I can get the achievements. For the most part this isn't too bad. I joined a campaign that my faction was dominating and so PvE is relatively easy, but there's still the occasional death to an opposing player. Cyrodiil being so massive means that I spend most of my time running to objectives rather than actually doing them.
  3. I generally try to do the daily pledges every day, but if it's taking too long to find a group I bail. The rewards aren't great, but at least I enjoy the content. Time is, again, a factor here.
  4. Cyrodiil PvP can be fun at times, and then at other times not. Then there are those times when nothing is going on and you run around looking for people to kill only to find that you aren't really doing a whole lot with your time.
  5. Grinding seems to be the fastest way to get through these last few levels, but it's also by far the most boring. I'd really rather not have to resort to this in order to level.

The main issue I'm seeing is that all of these things, except for grinding, can take quite a bit of time to get through with all of these other factors. Which of these leveling methods do you think is the most painless, most efficient, and quickest?

Painless, effortless & efficient.... pop an XP potion & grind in Reapers March.

Its actually very quick now... & with the XP pots it will be even faster.

Not the most fun way.... but with only 3 levels to go it will fly by.

Grinding, Cyrodiil PvE and delves pretty much. Craglorn is awful for xp, but worth it for fun I guess if you can manage to get a group to do the quests (no small feat). It would take a very long time to level by PvP.

When I cam back to the game a few months ago at VR12, I grinded, did Cyrodiil PvE and delves, and just mixed up some pledges and PvP to break the boredom. It's a slog, but maybe those new XP drinks will help.

Hi! I think a lot of your issues could be resolved by joining either a social guild (I just happen to be in an awesome one for EP  ) or finding a guild tailored to the specific thing you're wanting to do. You could even build your own with some friends you enjoy doing those things with though it sounds like you're having issues finding people you enjoy playing with that also like the same things.

As for best leveling I found making sure I do every dungeon, never avoid killing mobs (if it's in your way, it dies), and never skip a quest or exploration node.

There's a lot of opportunity for fun things if you find the right people for you. Check out the guild recruitment section and see what you can dig up!

    Best of luck,

    Sid

It depends on your faction. I am DC, so The Rift is V10 for me. There were some mobs near Riften that were good to grind and some humanoids not far away.

haha man number 4... I feel you on that. Some days I feel like I get a lot done there and some days... Nothing. They need small scale pvp soo bad! It's also boring to run around the huge map all the time. Sometimes I feel like I'm just transitman...bouncing from place to place. Also, I second what @Sidney said about the social guild! It may be a bias opinion on my behalf though haha! Happy hunting out there!

I have been soloing up until now, but I have no qualms against joining a social guild. That may need to be my first step, since most of the end game content in ESO is group based.

Completing all the PvE in Cyrodiil (quest hubs, clearing caves and the random quests you find lying around) Should get you a VR or two.

Craglorn is fun. In EP NA, I always see people looking for groups. There are only two quests in the main quest line and 1 of the dailies that absolutely require 4 people due to a game mechanic. Everything else can be done with fewer players if you know what you are doing.

I've been having fun with the dailies, too, but I usually find a group in guild.

I strongly dislike grinding (all power to those who like it), so if I'm taking it off target just shoot me down, but can I suggest a 'different kind of levelling'?

I've only completed the first zone in Cadwell's Silver so far, and am v10. I have definitely not levelled fast--at all-- in the v14 sense of levelling.

However, I've made it my goal to solo as many world bosses, Cyrodiil delves, and Craglorn quests as possible. With a small handful of exceptions, that's quite possible. I'm still only v10, but between v5 and v8 I soloed the solo-able Crag 'group' quests, and between v1 and v3 I soloed Cyrodiil delves (except for one damn stubborn boss).

That's nothing special (tonnes of people have done that), but my point is that I 'levelled' my mechanics, build, gameplay, and resourcefulness even while, especially in Crag, my xp progress bar has been paused.

Making it to v14 and having a hole in your knowledge of game mechanics might end you up in a worse spot than being a v11 who can't get folks to do Trials, etc. with you for a couple more weeks.

(Not that op is in that situation, but just in general).

More on topic: vet pledge, DSA, and trials, give mad xp for the actual mobs in them moreso than the credit for completion. The whole time I was doing Crag soloing and getting practically zero xp for it, i levelled 3vr levels just from vet pledges alone.

Oh, I have so been there...

Still need one boss on my Templar too...

Craglorn questing is fairly good if you find a good guild. Especially now the group members aren't all forced to be at the same stage anymore.

I also recommend finding a good guild. Find things to do with your guildmates that are fun and just do them. You know, for the fun of it.

I've been doing trials since V4. They're a hoot! Now I'm about to hit V14 and I'm still in Eastmarch, haven't been to the Rift yet.

Chase the Happy, everything else be damned!

YES! We've done this at one of our regular guild events when everyone who showed up had a VR character.

Trying to get 8-12 people through that maze should be a drinking game...

Your not by any chance in Rusty Old Weapons on the EU server? ;)
And that maze.. Oh my.. I've only ever done Elinhir once since that, with a "normal" 4-person group and darn, NEVER doing that quest again...

    No, Elder Moot on NA.

Yeah, it's always hilarious because someone always gets teleported back a dozen times.
