I don't see how you can compare WOW to this? WOW had 10X the people this game had on 2 different consoles and or PC/MAC. Being WOW was new at the time there was just no way anyone at Blizzard could have expected what they ran into.
Also you have Blizzard to thank for where servers are at now for MMO's. But you also have EQ, AC, EVE ect all have helped make the MMO area what it is today. Like any game ZoS had the numbers on box sales, but just never dreamed what was going to happen on live day. This isn't an indie game and thank you ZoS for that.

It's simple
ESO > WoW.
There, I compared them.

Good news, everyone! I think I perfected a plague that will destroy all life on Azeroth!
Dont thank ZoS so soon, you'll hate them in time. such as when they havent fixed your progress blocking quest preventing you form advancing in the game. Itll be fixed in about 3 months. Its OK we wont judge you for joining the rest of the community in our disappointment in ZoS for stone walling and cold shoulders, even on the simple things.

Fortunately, ZOS has identified the major issues and are working on them. Unfortunately, it just can't happen in one or two days, because they need to make sure the fix does not break something else, as has happened before. I think they recently rolled out patch to fix some of the things, so progress is being made.
People are just as mad on other forums (NeoGaf, Gamefaqs, the PS official ones). ZoS had a year and some change to get the console versions in order and literally every bug that exists in the PC version and even some that have been stamped out shipped with the game.
If you think this was a "smooth" MMORPG launch (relaunch, really), then you haven't been around the block all that much. ARR had a much better launch than this. At least everything, including group finder, worked from day 1. They also rebuilt the entire game and its regions and didn't just slap a flashy UI over all of the issues.

I don't feel this way about ZOS, but if I did, my response would be simple: cancel subscription, delete the game and move on. I'm not sure why anyone would harbor such animosity for a company and their product and continue to use it? I seriously do not understand this mindset. Can someone explain to me why so many on this forum clearly state animosity and even hostility toward ZOS, yet still bother to spend time not only playing the game but posting on the forum?

And don't get me started on any EA games on launch day....
By far this has been the BEST launch for an MMO that I have been a part of... I mean I was actually able to play on day one... Destiny... it took nearly a week before I could get in... WoW... lol don't make me laugh... good luck doing anything on launch day...
As long as I'm not getting any Centipede or Baboon errors constantly... I'm pretty happy with it.
Yeah you paid your 90$... yeah you demand better service!... but guess what... so did millions of other people and they are all trying to log in at the exact same time you are... welcome to the world of massively multiplayer online gaming.
So please... if you hate it THAT much... take it back... that is one less person the rest of us have to deal with trying to sign in at the same time... and if a million of you are that upset about it... then we'll ALL be happier people.
Good job Bethesda and Zenimax... you guys deserve a medal for how well this is going.

Apparently I'm the only one who had zero issues at PC launch.
Indulge me for a moment, but what is your /played? Im curious. Not that it really matters anyways....Korah_Eaglecry wrote:Its the cool thing to do. They have nothing better to do because they rushed to end-game and now they spend their time complaining on the forums. They want things NAOW and if ZOS doesnt give it to them NAOW they stomp their feet and pretend as if theyre going to quit.
Probably can think of a few more.
Everyone seems to forget final fantasy a realm reborn. Ps4 launch for that was flawless

This was just a late release of a game that launched over a year ago.
Do not compare this to actual launch days.
They have had this ready for nearly 6 months and it was still crappy with the exact same problems we PC players identified for them at the actual Launch.
Yup they just copy pasted the PC version to xbone and ps4. Yup, that's how code and network architecture work. Yup.
Just in case this is necessary (sarcasm)
