Because you have to map double pressing hotkeys for a lot of actions. I've made a hotkey mod before with these kind of features and it is a difficult thing to conquer. To have someone map multiple pressing keys it takes some understanding. For example you can't just map A+LB if A also activates a skill. It's almost impossible to write an efficient code, unless you know what it will be ahead of time. Trying to make it work openly, puts in unwieldy response times and undesired effects. The average person, that doesn't have time to understand the details of hotkeys, would go crazy trying to figure out why they are having problems getting what they want.

That said, it is possible if you code in restrictions for the situations that cause problems. It took me about 2 years of work to make it happen. Even then I had to put in notices like "this mapping can cause delays" or "this mapping will cause undesired effects".

last time i checked (last night) there was no way to re map the controls, but i see/hear rumors in the forums of a update/patch out today from the maintenance today, i wonder if something changed

what system you play . i swapped out these way too, for pc i play with my ps4 controller throu xpadder , but now that im playing on xbox we cant .. sucks
