Help.... why no key remapping for ps4 & Xbox one

Can someone explain to me why no key remapping for ps4 & Xbox one the dev said where to stupid to do it. I don't understand Dev if you read this please help I just want my left d pad map and mount and touch pad weapon switch please

Because you have to map double pressing hotkeys for a lot of actions. I've made a hotkey mod before with these kind of features and it is a difficult thing to conquer. To have someone map multiple pressing keys it takes some understanding. For example you can't just map A+LB if A also activates a skill. It's almost impossible to write an efficient code, unless you know what it will be ahead of time. Trying to make it work openly, puts in unwieldy response times and undesired effects. The average person, that doesn't have time to understand the details of hotkeys, would go crazy trying to figure out why they are having problems getting what they want.

That said, it is possible if you code in restrictions for the situations that cause problems. It took me about 2 years of work to make it happen. Even then I had to put in notices like "this mapping can cause delays" or "this mapping will cause undesired effects".

I have heard of a thing call Chronus, or something, in game last night that lets consoles remap for any game.

last time i checked (last night) there was no way to re map the controls, but i see/hear rumors in the forums of a update/patch out today from the maintenance today, i wonder if something changed

I remapped R3 to swap weapon and D-PAD left to crouch and ever since my response time has been significantly faster in combat, especially important for PvP and dungeon tanking.

what system you play . i swapped out these way too, for pc i play with my ps4 controller throu xpadder , but now that im playing on xbox we cant .. sucks

I'm using a titan one on my Xbox to change my buttons, I'd of much peferd to be able to do it in game though

in trusting i just look it up titan one , so how you like it is it reliable during combat
