So how un-doable is the Werewolf quest at level 16?

x2link777b14_ESO
I've heard the vampire quest is doable around 15 with luck and skill, but what about the werewolf one? Was riding through the Rift looking for the spawn points of the vampire npcs when I got knocked off and mauled to death by a werewolf, and sure enough, got Sanies Lupinus. Only problem is, I'm only a level 16 sorcerer.

The mobs you have to kill during that quest are fairly isolated. You may be able to kite them long enough and as a sorc, you have your summons to keep them occupied.

Try it and report back ...

If youre going to go through with the Werewolf skills. Aim for the Mammoth. Its by far the easiest one for your level. Others have taken down the Troll and Snake at your level. But I have no clue how good you are so Id advise go after the Mammoth.

You should be fine, avoid the random creatures in there if you cannot kill them. If you don't get the mammoth boss exit the area, wait 15 mins then try again, repeat till you get the mammoth. Avoid its front and you'll do it easily.

If I remember correctly it should level down pretty close to your level (Since 1.6 was released). What you are going to want to take with you is a blue recipe food that boosts your Stamina and your Health.

You also want to take potions that will also heal you in addition to recovering your stamina.

Also, go after the Mammoth. Don't do the other spawn bosses. The Mammoth is the easiest one. You may have to go in and out of the portal several times until it spawns.
Far too many characters to list any more.

The Werewolf quests starts to scale with your character from lvl 12, so it's pretty much possible to do the quest at any levels now if you have the right gear, food and potions.

There are many videos which show a lower level unlocking the Werewolf skill line. With the right gear, food, potions and patience I'm pretty sure it's quite possible.

The werewolf and vampire quests were made stupid-easy since 1.6 came out. You could complete it at level 1 just fine. I wouldn't worry about it. Its a bit more difficult to acquire the disease in the fashion you did, which is to be level 16 and go get yourself mauled by an npc werewolf or vampire. The quest though to finalize it is super easy.

Cool. Just now found the quest npc, so gonna give it a shot now. Funny thing is I really had no intention of getting infected with lycanthopy. I was out hunting for vampire spawn locations lol. It literally came from somewhere behind me and just destroyed me. Didn't even know what it was until the death recap screen. Guess I should have done more research to know that werewolves and vampires have their own "time frame".

Oh well, happy with the result either way.

Good luck with the quest, hopefully it isn't horrible. It's worth picking up Lycanthropy for the achievement alone, if you're an achievement nut that is. Plus, being a Werewolf gives a passive bonus to stamina regeneration, so it's also pretty rad to have Lycanthropy on all of your characters as it doesn't actually have any drawbacks.

If you are planning later on to play as a Werewolf (and not keep it for the passive stamina regen)

I would highly recommend you to use it with the following gear :
    - a Ravager Heavy PvP set (Chest, Legs + trinkets)
    - a Valkyn Skoria Undaunted set
    - a Hunding Rage crafted set (Weaponsx2, Boots, Belt, Gloves)

For the weapons, for this particular build I would recommend weighted Axes (because the light attack spam in WW is devastating and connections with heavy attacks and Ferocious Roar are easier to do) and while not in WW form Steel Tornado will give a chance to proc the Meteor from Valkyn Skoria set, but precise is also fine if you are focussing more on your overall damage and sustain.

You'll soon discover that not much in ESO isn't easy ;) The only difficulty is to make people play together and not do st*pid things in trials or veteran dungeons, when playing with randoms.

It used to be a challenge at low levels because the lowest the mobs and bosses would scale to was something like level 38. Now that they scale down as far as level 12 (at least I think that's where they can scale to) it's super easy.

A friend of mine did it two months ago at lvl 10. The ennemies were level 10 too.
So it looks like it scales on your level, whatever it is.

Don't feel like you can't make a thread for a question like this, and don't feel like it's a dumb question either, because it's not!

The short answer is that yes, ESO vampires can be out in daylight.

The slightly longer answer is that the strain of vampirism that you get infected with in ESO is a different strain from the ones in different TES games (and there were multiple different strains across the previous TES games too), so it comes with different powers and weaknesses. The biggest weakness to ESO vampirism is a vulnerability to fire, but it also reduces your health regeneration.

I completed the WW quest at level 8. It scales to your level with the lowest it scales to is lvl 12 or 15. I had no issues completing it.

The important part to understand is your damage as a WW plays heavily off of weapon damage and probably stamina. On my lowbie I went DW for the extra weapon damage even though I had not leveled up that line at all.

I just tested on a level 4 character - the enemies in the werewolf quest scale down as far as level 12 (killing the level 12 troll with a level 4 is still somewhat difficult), while the enemies in the vampire quest still don't scale down at all - they're all level 38.
