Honestly I was here playing the very first MMO's back in the 90's and I will say that the age of PC MMO's is in its final days. The money is in the mass sales... More people own consoles than there are people willing to build a 2k rig anymore. Not to mention if your child ask you to build a 2k PC so he can play a video game and the same game is on the $350 console what do you think most parents are going to do?

Idk, he is half right. We have 4 teenagers and I would definitely buy them a console game and/or upgrade console than buy them a decent rig. The reason it is more cost effective however, is because they have the attention span of a goldfish....and soon as the next game comes out they are interested in... they are over it.
I simply don't believe consolers will stick with an MMO as long as a pc player will, even with 100 UI options added in game that are currently addon supported on pc. They are used to playing a game a little while and moving on. (strictly my opinion ofc)If options weren't necessary, and everyone played the same way, no one would use addons. Fix the UI!2 -

Right but in long run the PC is the way to go because everything is cheaper (most of time) with PC/MAC. But we are in a new gaming world, majority of houses have PC/MAC and consoles. If you think about it there is a big reason why M$ is making Win10 for all their devices. PC's not going any where and it is foolish for anyone to even say that.

Hell I just bought a Asus G751JY-DH71 not to long ago just to play games on when I travel, but it does not take a "Master race member" to understand that from a business stand point console sales would be a better bet if you were releasing games in the near future..

At no point did I cry about add-ons nor did I resort to using things like STFU, I wanted a conversation about this one particular mod (I do not see it as an add-on).

PC gamers have always been a minority in the gaming world since consoles came out, yet, they have also maintained their population. ✭✭✭✭✭This is a non-issue on every level as I see it. People have pointed out already that you can't change gear and abilities in combat, even with an addon. Furthermore, the game is designed to do this. Several of the loading screens actually say stuff like "having trouble defeating an opponent? Swap gear and try different abilities."
Adapting to a situation is part of the game. Being only usable out of combat means you will not be using it during a siege or in the heat of battle when it could be conceivably helpful in any way, as guards are telepathic and will keep you in combat until you die or run very far away.
Complaining an addon allows you to do something faster? Again, and bear in mind I don't personally use this or any similar addon in PVP, this is still not an issue in my mind. Remember, you can only do it out of combat. In PVP, that means you can SNEAK. Sneaking in PVP makes you totally invisible to enemy players (unless you were marked or standing in the middle of the field and someone used a detect potion or ability). That means you can take all the time you need to swap out whatever you wish. But that doesn't matter as again, if you are in the heat of things you will not be getting out of combat anyway.
Lastly, and this is the real glitch in your whole argument, you have failed to explain WHY this is such an unbalancing deal breaker. I PVP quite a lot, and I have NEVER run into a situation where I found myself saying "golly, if I could just have found a way to get out of combat and completely swapped out my armor I would totally have pwned that guy."
Huh? That does not compute for me.
Seriously, the only scenario you mentioned should literally NEVER happen. You say "swap out to a healing set and staff." Really? Every single person I know has at least some sort of healing on their bar or off bar in PVP. You have to, given the update 6 TTK (time to kill) numbers. Rally from 2H for example, or some class abilities, at bare minimum. If you don't then your problem dying in PVP probably isn't addons, but rather a L2P issue (no offense intended).
The only class that even has an option to sneak away in a meaningful way during combat is the cloak-spamming magicka Nightblade, as invisibility potions simply don't last long enough to sneak far enough away, and even then if you were in combat and losing before you decided to sneak off to swap gear, the enemy would just pop a detect pot and finish you. Or you would take so long sneaking away that your bars would have regenerated, making swapping gear pointless.
Everyone should be able to heal just fine without completely swapping gear for those extra potent ticks.
