Wait a while until most players have reached VR14. As you might remember, PvP on the PC also ran fine in the beginning.

It is sort of mimicking PC BWB pvp right now. Whatever is causing the lag doesn't seem to happen in servers populated by mostly non-vets. This leads me to believe that it is directly connected to either a alliance war skill, high level class skill, some mages/fighters/undaunted skill, or a high level item set as none of these are easily obtainable at low levels.

there has still been lag in ps4 from when i was playing it earlier today, got kicked from game twice brcause of it, there are still the same bugs just like on pc, it seems all they had done is copy the pc version and just change the UI? the smooth gameplay from them videos i would say is because 99% of them dont no what they are doing, nearly all the ppl j knocked down from frags dodnt even break free, the amount of ppl that i fought that looked like they would press a skill then would stop n look at there controller to see what to press next or something. just give it month or so untill ppl click on and find what is good n what isnt, then see how lag is going on consoles,

i bought the transfer hoping that it was gonna be fun, im glad i moved away from consoles cause they are rubbish ^^

    Ahh such nostalgia
Altho I find myself wanting to zoom the camera back for them lol

It will be interesting to see what happens as they level and get more skills. If they don't get the kind of lag we do at higher levels maybe ZOS can compare and finally start getting some ideas how to fix it for us.

If everyone had the same exact hardware on PC it would probably be easier to manage. They can optimize the xbox one and ps4 games to the specific hardware in those consoles. With PC you have to balance for 10000 different configurations.

Wait till they get proper aoe skills and they get a clue on what they are doing. I mean, light attacking a keep door? Oh i forgot, they can't tell if they damage it or not ;)

I can imagine 20 siege all hitting a postern door for an hour because they have no feed back on hits. Then some guy gets distracted and misses the door and sees the % go down and realizes "oh we have to not hit the door we are taking down, to take down the door."

If you think console is better than PC, you haven't played the console version. I transferred my PC account to PS4 to play with my cousins and on average for the last couple nights, we've only been able to play for about 3 hours total with each other. I've averaged about 3 game crashes per night while playing and after each crash, I have to wait 10-15 mins for the queue.

As far as pvp goes, when I went in there with my DK(VR14), all I saw were lvl 10-15's running around light attacking everything. If everyone did this on PC, I'm sure there wouldn't be any lag either. After I killed a group of about 10 AD with minimal effort, I told myself I wouldn't pvp anymore until me and my cousins all reach lvl 15 on our characters.

Overall though, when I've been able to play with my cousins, we've have a lot of fun together. I'm not complaining about any of the issues I've had, just letting everyone know that the grass isn't always greener on the other side...

There is almost never lag on Blackwater Eu PC, even when all alliances are pop locked and fighting about the last emp keep. So I assume lag is somehow caused by the behavior of veteran rank players.

Blackwater NA never gives me issues.

Personally like to joke that it's because no one in the non-vet campaigns can unlock Meteor.

    @Leovolao

Read the marked text. Consoles running at constant or nearly 30 Fps all the time if I understood it correctly, Pc version doesn't.
You can play on lowest options and you still got fps drops, at least in PvP.

Next time I'd suggest you read everything instead of things you want to read.

Haha I posted that before my morning coffee. There are so many people that post without knowing the difference (lol at that thread claiming to fix lag by lowering graphics settings) that I just immediately jump in to correct people.

This is wrong, console has the same FPS issues as PC. At least the Xbox version does. I'm going to post a video later today showing you how bad it is. It has however not lagged yet, but that's almost definitely for the reasons others mentioned, people haven't unlocked the right abilities yet.

Will be interested in seeing it. I've spent today watching streams with 60+ players on screen and everything running well, and talking in ts with the people playing (PS4). I think once people start spamming healing springs things will change though. :/

I am having a blast with PvP on the consoles, honestly. It kind of reminds me of back in Beta when everyone was super excited just to be out there.

It's a breath of fresh air compared to the stale atmosphere on PC currently.

Lowering your settings don't help. I'm getting exact same fps with everything on and Ultra and everything off and Low in siege battles. It only differs when standing in the middle of nowhere alone. Might be bcs of my pc but I don't have bad rig at all.

Don't know if you can do this safely or not but on my Intel rig but ESO responds VERY well to cpu overclocking.
Definitely more cpu bound game. My graphics card is overkill, cpu should be too(3770k) but I still gain 12-20 fps going from 3.5ghz to 4.5ghz.

the reason Console doesnt lag (yet) is because of the lack of ability spam that is typical on PC.

PC lag is almost entirely due to blobs that stack up and spam AOEs constantly... its a lot more data to transmit over the internet and the servers to process.

if you were to put a 5s global cooldown on all abilitys on PC you would see virtually no lag in PvP even with hundreds on the screen.
I play every class in every situation. I love them all.

Pvp ran pretty good at the beginning before the blobs, and things like the fps bug. Console might do ok since 12 man is the max group size. Pvp might develop on a different path then the pc version. Should actually be interesting to see. I think the fact that caps were in place kind of forced pc ESO outcome toward stacking, a lower group size and aoe caps removed somewhat might alter its course

I think it's because on console, everyone has the exact same systems, so it's easier to optimize!

After playing on PC for a year, I was saying for a long time that if PC has fps drops as bad as it does, that consoles would cripple...Safe to say I was wrong! After playing console solid this past week,i have been in battles with insane amounts of people in my screen and not once have I had fps drops.
Not going to lie, I'm shocked, I didn't expect it to run as good as it does in consoles.

It's because players on Console haven't learned to lagsploit yet.

You don't see big groups of players on console spamming healing springs on the ground with no enemies nearby to lag the server out, then spamming meteors to make it worse, while they throw caltrops and other ground effects that work through the lag.

1/2 the problem is the software, the other 1/2 is guilds who have learned to cause lag and use it to their advantage.

I'm of the assumption that you still have the software problems on Console, you just don't have those certain guilds on console causing the lag intentionally....

I confirm, you must either upgrade or change your PC. No reason you should get bad fps. This bug was fixed a long time ago. Even tho the game takes way too much ressources, with a decent computer, you can easily get above 40fps in every situation at medium with shadows at low.

Three things from watching the videos.

    1. All of them had weapon skills on their bars without the right weapon equipped.
