Um, what? This thread is specifically for console players. It has it right in the title of the thread and in the question for the voting poll. Why would consoles need a separate thread from this one that's already specifically for consoles?

And the quests are the same either way so it doesn't make a difference.

I skipped a lot of dialogue when I played through on PC. I regretted it, so this time I'm reading it all, except the main story quay since I've gone through that several times and don't find it very interesting until sheograth, he was the highlight for me.

Yes I am. Why would you skip it? I never understand people who skip cutscenes unless you have seen that cutscene many times. It like can you imagine if people skipped all the dialogue for mass effect or dragon age? There wouldnt be a game left!

I read all of the dialogue options.

I also search every single bookshelf that I come across, and read as much of the Lore as is possible when I find something to read.

Totally off-topic, but if you're level 6 and you're doing those things then I can tell that you're in Daggerfall and you're doing the quests there without having done the starter islands (Stros M'kai and Betnikh). There should have been a quest giver immediately across the street from the house you woke up in after the Coldharbour tutorial. I strongly suggest you follow that quest and go to Stros M'kai, and do all of the quests and such there (which then leads you to Betnikh, where you should do the quests there) before continuing on questing in Daggerfall and the rest of Glenumbra.

If you don't do the starter islands you'll miss out on XP, skill points (there are sky shards there), the beginning of your alliance's storyline, and quests designed to teach you some of the common questing mechanics (like the use of disguises). By the time you finish the starter islands, if you haven't done any quests in Glenumbra you should be about level 8. As you've clearly already done some quests in Glenumbra, you'll probably be almost level 10 by the time you finish the starter islands.

I still say it was dumb to start us in the 3rd zone instead of doing the story progression. Going backwards to go forwards really ruins the storyline imo.... the EP story doesn't even make SENSE now that you start in Stonefalls and take a ship backwards... lol

Really? I'm curious why you do it differently depending on the platform. I can understand why you might do it differently depending on the type of game (like, for example, skipping it in an MMO, but reading it in a single player RPG), but I can't think of a reason why you would do it differently based on the platform.
I just can get more into/focused on console games for some reason, always been like that. I read every single line of dialogue in Paper Mario games (no voice acting), but if it were on PC, I'd probably skip a lot of the lines when they start rambling.
    -

Cool. @Zazaaji I just got my game on PS4 up and running last night, but I could already tell I was WAY more distracted. Especially with voice chat - on PC I just don't go on TS3 when I want to focus.. but console.. then I'm left socialless if I do that. Plus the dog is jumping on the couch with me, and bf is playing games on his phone on the other couch.. and wow.. so many distraction.

I like the dialogue in this game, and the story. By reading/listening I get more chuckles than my friends who always want to rush. The ironic thing is that I'm a higher level than then and we've all been playing for around the same amount.

Thanks for that, I had only just found that quest giver and I am almost level 7 I had been ignoring that quest as I assumed it took me to the next zone not a starting zone. I will hit that one up first thing tonight
I posted because I did exactly the same thing at PC launch over a year ago (in Daggerfall even). I even had the exact same reasoning as you - I figured that since that quest sent me somewhere else, I probably wasn't supposed to do it until I'd already done everything in Daggerfall (and maybe even in all of Glenumbra). Boy was I ever wrong, and it made the game much harder for me until I finally decided to go and do that quest anyway...

Actually it does make a massive difference, because OP is specifically wanting to know if console players are reading the dialogue. There have already been multiple polls in the past about whether PC players read the dialogue, so presumably the entire point of this thread is because the OP is curious if there's a significant difference between the numbers of console players and PC players who read the dialogue.

Could not agree more. In Beta you started in the starter zones (and some of the NPC dialogue in the starter islands still references you waking up there), but unfortunately ZOS listened to a handful of morons who for some reason thought it was a bad idea to start in the starter zones, and complained loudly about it. Listening to those vocal idiots is one of the worst decisions ZOS has made.
