Gold Sellers on Console

A little worried about this as I am 100% sure many sites were able to transfer their PC accounts over with millions of gold. Is and how is this being monitored? A quick google search reveals that the big sites are charging a premium due to demand....$1500 for 400k for example.

Um.... isn't this the reason for the report button? To you know report websites and people trying to scam players with gold schemes ?

Who cares. You will eventually own almost everything or everything you need. Should people buy gold oh well they risk getting banned.

there never would have been gold sellers if players hadn't bought so much of their gold to begin with.

Only people to blame are the buyers, period.

Report em. Most sellers are way too expensive as well, compared to the money you can earn per hour, but the big issue is they'll steal credit card info. Flag em tag. Em and bag em for your fellow gamer.

Not only are you running the risk of getting ripped off you are running a VERY real risk of getting hacked. Or at least getting put on some hackers list of potential victims.

ZOS has a system in place that watches the types of transactions that are made and how much gold is sent via the in game mailing system to players. If they think it is a potential gold seller they will do something about it.

This is what I had been told as I had found gold sellers listings on ebay for the NA PC version.
Far too many characters to list any more.

There's not really any reason to buy gold in this game.

You can craft most of the gear you need, or pay a crafter to make them for you.

Until you are trying to.build a truly min max character and require some of the more expensive PvP/trials pieces, you are pretty much self supporting.

I was really surprised to see all of the web sites out there advertising for ESO Gold. My main is a crafter and I've made over 2 million. If I sold every resource I had I would probably be at 3.5-4 million.

The only reason people buy gold is because they don't have the time or desire to make it themselves....

Holy crap... 1500 for 400k??? Are you serious!?!

Sounds like I need to start selling ESO gold.... (I am not serious)

Just saying.. I could be a millionaire IRL instead of just in ESO.

Gold is the last thing anyone needs to buy.

If you just play the game and vendor to in game merchants all your loot, you will clear 20K to 30K in the first zone alone. I have done it twice. And it only goes up from there. You don't need to buy anything as you use the gear that drops at least in the first two zones. Heck, don't even repair stuff, just swap out what you get with what is broken. Decon or vendor the broken stuff (it all gives the same Inspiration or Gold as fully repaired).

This is the primary reason why Gold Sellers will not succeed in this game. Not withstanding the efforts of ZOS to combat them.

Besides, send $1500 to a website for 400K gold and you know what you will end up with? $1500 less in your real bank account.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

Yeah that was pretty much my point
I crafted my sets up until VR14 and now using mixed PvP sets and Nirnhoned...you know, the meta. But thanks for clarifying the obvious :)

There's plenty of reason to buy gold if you want to PvP competitively. The PvP sets in the bags are expensive. 5 piece archmage will run you 800-900k

It would be super easy to track gold that came in from the PC copy.
End the tedious inventory management game.

We treat gold selling very seriously - if you see someone selling gold in-game please report them.
