I bought the game for PC back at release and with the new console versions I was wondering whether I would have to pay the full price for the game again to play on PS4 or whether it would be free for me as I have already bought the game for PC. Thanks

Yeah, you have to rebuy the whole game. PC, XB1, and PS4 are each their own separate setup. No transferring or crossover, and as such, each system needs its own copy. The only exception was for people like me who bought the PC game during a certain window last year and qualified for a console transfer, where they copied your PC characters over to a console of your choice, but even that cost a discounted $20 for the console copy.0 -

If you bought the PC version on launch last year then you should have had the ability to purchase an XB1 or PS4 copy for $20 which included a copy of your characters to the console version you purchased. They had sent emails to those eligible and it was on the website, launcher, forums, etc... so they offered a cheaper price for a month to those eligible.0
