Could you please separate PC and Console Discussions?

As the title says, I really, REALLY would like to see the actual PC topics as a PC player in the current General Discussions section.
Could you please add a new console section for the better overview? All I see right now in the topics list reads like this:

Console issue
Console problem
Console timeout
Console login issue
Please help me with a quest!
Console whatever
Console: I don't care
Console: I starts to annoy me
Console: I can't see it anymore
New to ESO: how does the Champion System work?
Console: it's getting too much now
Console: do you prefer X, Y, or Z Box?
Console problem with the code
Help, I got stuck underground
Console.. really?

You know what I mean.
So, will a new console section be added soon? (Or at least, soon™?)

They've already said numerous times there won't be any separate console forums except guilds and support.

The problem is people bringing support issues for the consoles into the General Discussion forum.

I mean, it doesn't make any sense to keep them in ONE section as the bugs and whatnot might be not the same. It's just getting confusing for all forum readers.

Oh, so then I guess when Gina said it during a twitch stream it didn't happen cuz you didn't hear it.

If a tree falls in a forest and I'm there to hear it but your not, did it really make a noise?

Good point. But PC players do the same from the beginning, I guess this will never change. I don't think this would stop console players from doing it, too.

BWHAHAHAHA ... Now that is the most real indicator of poor management right there. I know sometimes its good to stick with your decisions, but I would love to see the change management assessment on that one.

Ok maybe they want to ensure we are joined together like a big happy family? If that's the case then it should have been like FF and you can play on PC or Console with the same progress, but it can't be that because its a copy not progressive.

It is times like when that decision would have been made that I wish I was on the wall watching and listening., provided of course it really was said.

Try to use the search bar to find it, you never will. That's why I created this thread, because I DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT IT.

We'll be adding console-specific forums to the Support category next week.

Console related threads are dominating General Discussion at the moment, but this is expected leading up to console launch. Afterward, this matter will start to calm down, and many of the topics currently being brought up in GD will be better suited to the Support section. Platform-specific discussion won't disappear from GD entirely, but then there have been several threads about Windows 10 in here at the moment.

We won't be adding console separation for General Discussion or other sections, as most topics are platform-neutral. Splitting them up adds some organization, but the increased granularity risks redundancy and not reaching sufficient critical mass to really sustain discussion. Last February we reduced the number of forums quite a bit when we restructured, and it's been a bit help.

In situations where someone does have a platform or megaserver specific discussion, making this clear in the title is helpful. Not everyone will do this, but people will notice that this tends to make their threads more successful.

Not just twitch, several dev/greename on the forum have stated this at least a dozen times, the Twitch was just the latest one. If you'd actually search the forums for threads with "forum" or "forums" in the title, along with the word "console", you'd find them all easily.

Console is literally in the middle of launch. You can expect to see console specific threads overwhelming this forum for the next few days.

That doesn't mean a new section of the forum is needed. These types of posts will drastically decrease over the next few days.Once the console launch dust settles, it'll become very apparent if a new section is needed or not.

I would have thought that keeping console and PC separate would make more sense, and condense everything they needed to look at and on which platform for sake of ease.
Seems a bit silly lumping everything in together, especially in GD.

The problem is that many of these posts are support questions, not General discussion (which should be platform agnostic I agree).

Perhaps it will calm down, or a reminder needs to be printed in the Post box with a link to the specific Support forums.

I am sure they will eventually change their mind. I don't plan to play console at all and just sticking with PC and it's hard to filter though. Even a tag where you were required to add of [PC] or [Console] would work.

@ZOS_AlanG, this is a slight derail, but while we are on this subject, one "feature" that was removed in the forum restructure earlier this year was that the Recent view no longer says what category the discussion is in. It shows the title, author, last poster, but not the category.

I use the Recent view to collect all the recent musings of the forum denizens into one place. This allows me to see everything without having to use multiple browser tabs or move between categories. It is getting harder to filter out topics that are in categories that I know I do not need to read. For example, I am PC and PS4, so I do not need to open discussions related to XBox. I only dabble on the EU server, so I can skip most EU categories.

I don't know if there is anything that can be done across the Discussion category to help filter subjects, but the problem is actually larger than just that one category.

I don't joining some discussions, however it is annoying to have a thread with a generic title go to enter the discussion only to find it's a console only issue.

I don't want a full split of the community but I can foresee a lot of issues coming up in regards to PVP campaign threads etc. It was already annoying enough when people wouldn't label NA/EU now we need every thread to be labelled
